Heckingbottom

Not asking you to be an expert in my posts but I'm hardly defending heckingbottom, I couldn't give a shit tbh. But lowe was a complete charlatan and that's not because he was a Scouser it's cause he's a bellend and a shit football manager.

Lowe had far superior loans than heckingbottom has had - in my opinion. Squads basically the same as we just move loans in to make a decent side. Prior to iversen injury and Armstrong going this team was performing ok and league position was excellent. Osmjic shite to deal with, the pitch is an embarrassment, and his squad is limited.

I personally can't see what more he can do, end of season form is endemic under multiple managers (mostly same players), he's no Alex Neil so for me other than starting small more (who gets loads of stick) I dunno how id play it. The whole thing needs ripping up, boring point scoring over lowe - What's the fucking point cha?

We could rake up all sorts of shit, amount wanted Neil out and hounded him for example, it's pointless.
Understand your point. The owners and ridsdale are the main culprits. They were under Lowe, Neil, Frankie etc.

However we have been out fought and out battled against Blackburn and Oxford. These aren’t great sides. That Blackburn display is one of the most embarrassing Derby display I’ve seen in years.

Personally I don’t think he will be sacked anyway. But hopefully we get new owners in the summer who will have a huge change of direction for the club.

I don't think he'll be sacked. It costs money. Money they never want to spend, let alone when they're about to sell the club.

If we thought it was a literally insulting January transfer window, Hecky thinks it too.

He must be in shell shock.

Then, he's got to come out and give the company line each week when he feels like Ridsdale and the owners have kicked him squarely in the nuts, with a run up.

Hecky's problem, however, is that we are now playing significantly worse with a (mostly) healthier squad. And we were in the playoffs when we couldn't name a full subs bench.

I don't see, currently, how this team wins any of the next three games.

Would that make Hecky one of the statistically worst managers not to lose his job in history?

I like Hecky. I want him to succeed. But we know Hecky is not the (main) problem.

The problem? Simple. Indifference, acceptance of mediocrity and a financial tax-balancing sweet spot that rewards owners with zero ambition.

After the injury to Lang it would appear that none of the January signings are in a position to contribute to the last 10 games unless Moran bursts into life though the signs for that happening are not strong.

But even then, if you compare CV’s it’s:

League One Promotion
Championship Promotion
EFL trophy

Vs

Two league two promotions.

He’s a far better manager, although rapidly looking short of ideas at the minute, especially after the window we had in Jan

Not getting into the Lowe Vs Heck debate (although I think @RibbletonWhite2.0 's argument is a sound one) but I always worried about Heck's record. Take that Sheffield Utd promotion with a bloody good team off the back of Wilder's years of building out of there and he's done very little. Been roundly laughed out of some clubs too.

Is Arne Slot a great manager? No, he replaced someone who put the framework in place to succeed and rode the waves of that last year.

He might be a lot shitter than people actually believe.

He seemed it last year and this.

We can have the debate about whether he’s had a good hand to play with, a bad hand, or whatever but one thing is crystal clear to me.

Right here, right now, he is done. Everything we see on the pitch is what you see when the connection between manager and players is irretrievably broken. He’s got nothing new to say to them and the players don’t want to hear it.

For the good of everyone he should leave.

He’s had a proper pair of windows in the season to shape the squad and he biffed it tactically in the 2nd half of the season, with whatever contributing reasons (pitch, form etc).

Fact is when faced with those challenges he’s chosen wrong, and his win rate is appalling.

Has to go unfortunately, as much as I believed in project Hecky.

Might be worth letting him suck up the defeats to Cov and Norwich that are coming.

TBF, it would have worked better than this last time out. At least we would have moved into a back 4 for one thing.

But Larry is a definite no.
Anyone who goes back to the Gulldraggers deserves to coach abroad for a soft wind-down.
I wouldn't want him having a relapse after the shitshow he walked into at the Mackens. Perhaps- Larry was a man who seized the Poisoned Chalice without doing his homework? And that - truly, makes me wonder who the fek who knows what we know - would like to work with Ridsdale and those IoM bastards ?

He had us third in the league, pushing for automatic then didn't get backed in the window, why should Hecky be bothered about anything other than staying up. If the club is sold the new owner will likely want to bring their own people in anyway, maybe a big name like Gerrard or Rooney. Be careful what you wish for.

Careful your sycophancy for the Hemmings is slipping.

Based on the last couple of months I’ll take the chance, cheers.

I get what you are saying, I do feel sorry for Hecky that he wasn't properly backed and the January transfer window was a shambles. What if we found a manager like Boro's though? Never heard of Hellberg but he's got Boro flying. Am not having it that Hecky is the only manager for us out there and there is nobody out there capable of getting more out of this set of players. Hecky right now is not getting there best out of this squad and is now rightly under scrutiny. That isn't unfair.

Middlesbrough pay wages that can attract people like their 2nd goal scorer today. We won't pay that level of wages which means he doesn't score goals for us anymore.

He apparently left on less money than he’d been getting here.

The major thing both Middlesbrough and Sunderland have in their favour is they aren’t managed by the charlatan.
