Wow, I didn’t realise that…..

We desperately need Iversen back to instill some confidence in the defence.

Although Cornell has done okay , the players in front of him don’t seem to have the
same faith in him as they do Iversen
That’s the biggest issue as far as I’m concerned - although I don’t think Cornell has been as ‘good’ as some are saying. It’s the same as the end of last season, many goals are not him dropping a howler but I honestly think he could have done better with a few.

The defenders in front of him need to show a bit more bottle and resilience and take responsibility. Iversen will have bailed them out on a good few occasions though.

A couple last Friday in particular.

At a cost of say £ 1.25m for a sacking I can't see the current ownership pulling the trigger unless we get into another relegation scrap. The temptation for Hecky and co in the precarious world of management could be therefore to go super safe and try and at least get a few draws when really we should be pushing in most games for the 3 points. What PR and the hierachy should be saying to PH is that his job is safe this season to take that pressure off and encourage a more offensive attitude. Most unlikley that will happen though as there isn't one controlling voice and nobody taking a more longer term view.

Peter: “You can have a new player, a tent with some beer in it, the dead pigeon clearing off the roof, half a desso pitch or Hecky sacked. What’s it to be?”

We're the Ready Steady Cook of football teams.

"£5 budget, basics are provided, off you go."

He's absolutely dreadful, if iversen wasn't injured we would be in playoffs still. likewise if woodman wasnt injured last season we would have been mid table.

heckys stats when cornell doesnt play are very good.

Can anyone interpret what Hecky is going on about in tonight’s post.Is it a plea for a new regime to get rid of messrs Revitt Hemmings and Riddler ?

We’ve won one match with Cornell in goal out of 17.

To be fair, has made some saves and kept us in games we've drawn. I don't think many if any results would of been different with Iverson.
I dread to think of the abuse Iverson would be getting with these results, A keeper needs defenders in front of him to not many stupid errors like ours have.

My biggest grip is this playing out from the back and fucking around. We shit at it, so why we keep doing it. Then we revert to hoof out to anywhere, instead of long passes etc.

Just giving his opinion on what promotion means for most Championship clubs, why expanding the playoffs to 8 teams is a good thing and how lots of people are interested in the league because it's a way to invest in a club with the potential to unlock all of that money and redesign the club around their own image of success.

A bit of a come and get us plea maybe, but probably mostly just giving his genuine thoughts on the game.

Of course there are lots of downsides to owning a Championship club, and most of them are or have been for sale with no buyers because they're expensive to run and have less revenue potential than a Prem side. But get promoted and the money pays itself back quickly.

Trouble is we wouldn’t get promoted with what we’ve got at the club. There is no ambition from top to bottom.
Look at the squad. We’ve players who have been here for years, happy to play in a team that achieves nothing. Imagine at the end of their careers looking back. Apart from earning decent money they have achieved nothing in the game.
McCann will be the next. Decent prospect then happy to earn the money, same as your Hughes, Potts, storeys etc

The club is riddled with mediocre mindset, mediocre ideas and a non winning mentality. It stems from the top then filters down.

Even with new investment it will take a good few windows to change the whole ethos of the club. It’s ingrained.
