Heckingbottom

So what exactly in your knowledgable opinion should his Plan B be to ensure some victories?? Please tell all.
For starters know your best 11, change the formation that is so reliant on wing backs to provide width, and our wing backs don't look confident in the attacking third so basically pointless having the wing backs and get the players playing in their best positions, like a 4-2-3-1.

Iversen,
Offiah, Storey, Gibson, Vukcevic
McCann, Whiteman
Small, Devine, Dobbin
Lang

Get rid of this depressing sideways and backwards passing and go for it, would rather lose attacking then playing this rubbish that's been deployed for too long.

Listen we all have opinions and you might not agree which I can see you don't, which is fine as if we all had the same opinions it would be boring.

But I am just a bored season ticket holder, I am available though if he does get the sack, let the Riddler know.

I would like to see a change in formation but that’s not the main issue. He needs to find a way to get several players back to the level they were performing earlier in the season.

Problem is none of us know what’s causing the dramatic drop in performance.

It may be all down to Hecky or it may be something else like players downing tools in protest at the state of the pitch and concern about increased risk of getting injured.

I lean towards Hecky having a massive bust up in January with those who must be obeyed over the lack of transfers, having to sell players and the state of the pitch.

Once he checked out the team have too.

He is far from blameless but their is a rotten stench about the club and its dragging everyone down.
His apathy and pissed off demeanour will have rubbed off on the players.

He may have had a bust up with Peter in January but I doubt he has any contact with any of the Hemmings or the one who controls the purse strings.

They were on a decent pitch last night and still didn’t turn up ?

If Heckingbottom has had a bust up with CH/PR behind the scenes he could win back a lot of favour, and maybe even justify his way into another Championship job, by being honest about it. He'll say he's doing all these things behind closed doors then won't back it up with his actions publicly. It's not like the board would have the balls to sack him for it

Problem is he has his own career to think about. If he starts swinging for the ownership publicly, he's going to put off owners at other clubs he might apply for.

There's a reason people the likes of Nigel Pearson and Billy Davies don't get jobs at this level anymore

Yeah it's a tough mix of being diplomatic enough to not put off other clubs but also being tough enough to curry favour back with PNE fans. Much as he isn't in the best of positions I do still feel he could handle it better than he currently is

I would honestly fucking love him to do that. The friction between Billy Davies and Shaw made us more successful. It was no lazy cunt show like this fucking mess is.

He's fucking shit at the media stuff.

George Hodgson did a really good pod the other day and focused on it. Despite working with him a lot he did admit a lot of PNE fans are now saying they don't care if he goes (I don't either). He hasn't endeared himself at all.

But I do think he comes across as a total cunt most of the time. A member of the 'listen...' brigade. Fine if you're winning, makes you look a cunt when you can't buy a point.

Less than that. They were willing to take anything just to balance their books.

They got £3.5m from Coventry because he played 10 Prem games and scored against Chelsea.

Interesting as his goal scoring record was good at Hearts and Sunderland within a year. He had 7 in 17 for Sunderland before Everton recalled him.

Nathan Broadhead was another in the reserves at Everton who should've been looked at in those times. Ipswich signed him for 1.5m in Jan 2023.

If Whiteman is to be believed, he clearly hasn’t lost the dressing room. Maybe we are just shite at football.

He’s definitely lost the support of the fans though and I think it would be very counter productive if he were still in charge next season. Obviously he will be though without new ownership.

We weren’t shite earlier in the season and even coped when Armstrong missed a few games through injury so something has changed.
Looks to me like the team spirit evident in the first half of the season has vanished.
Don’t suppose Whiteman is in a position to admit that the manager has lost the dressing room (hope he hasn’t) whether it’s true or not.
