He's being punished for a repeat offence. The length of the ban is because he's done it before.

I'm interested to read what happened. Hecky doesn't normally get any cards during the game does he? His punishments seem to come from what's happening behind closed doors. I'm trying to square that circle because he's not exactly like Phil Parkinson swearing non-stop at the top of his lungs all game.

Hecky's doing the right thing in calling it out on one level but he's always going to be reprimanded for it. I'm not sure that if you know you're going to get a ban for repeatedly slamming officials it's a particularly good move to keep doing it.

Especially as the consequences seem to be twofold - one, we rankle the referee's union and get even shitter decisions. Two, the manager gets himself banned from the touchline during crucial periods.

Common sense would say we should probably not martyr ourselves quite as much as we do.

And that this is brought on particularly in this area around Watford close to the M1.

Aye there isn't a conspiracy. Hecky just needs to learn to control himself although I still think there are some managers who behave like tits but don't get punished as much. I'm curious to read what happened in this incident though.
