Iain Hume.

Iain Hume.

The doctor is always in attendence at PNE medicals so what hes saying is that the medical people showed unproffesionilisum or even worse miss led the club by letting a player through a medical when he should not have done so. I think that is libal in a court of law but correct me if im wrong

A bit extreme for you. A doctor will give an opinion, which will often amount to a little more than suggesting that we could do some tests, or we could seek the opinion of a specialist. All of these things take time, cost money, and are judgement calls for management. It seems we took risks on some players, and they did not come off. The present management seem to to have a different opinion, no one needs to waste money on solicitors.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but was this not during Brian Gray's tenure, as I think it was Moyes that tried to sign him. I was also under the impression Forster snubbed us, and while we thought he was coming to sign, he pissed off with Butler and signed for Reading. I didn't think injuries were anything to do with it!

One of the above was ready to sign but their wife didn't wish to move "oop norf".

FACT.

Those who disbelieve this, search the info out.

This isn't a dig at you PSG. I'm agreeing with you.

You are right JD. I seem to remember everybody's favourite agent, Eric Hall, being involved as well.

Back on subject, has there been any info on Hume's condition? If he has been diagnosed with concussion, does that rule still apply that he will have to miss a fortnight's worth of games as a precautionary measure, or has taht rule been scrapped. It was about 7 years ago I last heard it inforced, and even then it was for Glenn Little at the Dingles.

Didn't it apply to Davidson last season after the Peterboro game, although I seem to remember there was another injury involved as well.

what about Linganzi?

I get the impression that we signed him on loan in the knowledge of his injury, we risked it and it didnt pay off, but nothing gained nothing lost. If we had decided not to loan him due to his injury, then he wouldnt be playing for us anyway, exactly as now.

Yes, you are right. I have just looked threw the archive's and Fergurson states that its a mandatory ten day rest with a head injury. Davidson was knocked out cold however, and Hume seemed to walk off, so hopefully he was replaced as a pre-caution and not due to anything else. Fingers crossed as we could really do with him next Saturday.

i think its a mandatory ten days if you have been unconcious. I dont think it id due to cuts etc, as players get stitched up and come back onto the field with cuts.

Linganzi has cost us a fortune in agents fees and I bet we are still paying his wages whilst injured.
Great player but we knew he was injured, whoever decided that was a risk worth taking for half a game wants fucking shooting.
Just shows that this regime is as incompetant as the last shower. I sincerely hope he is fit again soon so we get something for the outlay.

Pure unadulterated bollocks, nothing more

Sounds like utter bollocks. Would ML let that happen? Almost certainly not, and do agents even get a fee for a loan move?

Maybe, but I sincerely doubt that it would be "a fortune", and I'd be staggered if we're paying his wages now - we probably weren't even paying them before he was injured.

Yes, because their player came back on bandaged up, Hume was taken off straight away, so does anyone know his condition or if he was taken to hospital?

Look mate, we know you have your own agenda and its about the youth cuts. Its a shame but let reality bite.

.

Your information is incorrect!

Rovers have agreed to take the lad back while he receives treatment, and cancel the loan agreement, so we do not lose one of our season loans. They have also agreed to start a fresh loan once he has regained fitness. This is a goodwill gesture on the plastics part, and they certainly do not need to do so.

I also fail to see why a agent would be paid for a loan agreement?
