... then for the final 2 games, I'd only play those players that are to be in his plans for next season.

All those who aren't should not even make the bench. It's what they deserve. Give us a glimpse of the future Phil.

If it means making up parts of the first XI with kids, then so be it.

WE'LL BE BACK.

We can't really put a side out with only 7 players surely.

Are you sure he will still be here in the future? To be fair you can't blame him if not?

We could put Trevor in the sticks, Maurice up front, Brown at right back and Horton centre mid, or do the Gary Pakinson match early and have fans bid in an auction for places.

I think most players are in his plans but your question should be is which players will be staying for him to work with come the start of next season.

Im sure Hume and Tracey will be tempted away during the summer when everything as died down. BillyJones will be gone but. Lonners and Sean will probably stay becaue i can't see anybody offering them what their on here and you know footballers they will gladly sit out somewhere if it means they don't lose any money!.

Ashbee and Barry nick will stay because they know at their age nobody else will give them a contract. All the loan players will go back and then you ahve the kids. and will Phil Brown not be tempted away himself if another championship club apparoch him during the summer.

All in all Its going to be nervous time for us PNE fans over the next few months lets just prey that the club can keep some if not all the players Phil wants to work with and nobody come in for our manger either!

Fingers crossed

I agree. I think Jones(definitely) SSL, Lonergan and Barton may well be off in the summer. We need to keep hold of Hume and Treacy as a priority. The quality those 2 possess should see us challenging to come straight back up. Carter and Nicholson I'd resign along with Ellington who I'd offer a 12 month deal. He would have to drastically reduce his wages though. Defensively we have McLaughlin and Gray to return. Bailey Wright is a good centre half and Morgan will be fine at that level. New left back needed. Mayor should be brought forward as a regular now on the right.

Hopefully with the sale of those assets we can reduce the wage bill to a manageable level and plug the financial gap in TV revenue. I also would like to see Turner signed permanently. If we can plug that gap with sales and bring the kids on and sign 1 or 2 more young players to go with them then we can challenge for promotion back up whilst steadying the ship financially.

What about trying to get Graham Alexander back on a 12 month maybe coaching role.

good call. legend who would be useful addition to chivvy along youngsters. In Wright and McLaughlin we have 2 good kids who should be ok. We will need a tough stopper to coach them through.

I would ship out SSL, Lonners and Barton to bring in much-needed funds and try my damnest to keep Humey and Treacy. We should be able to sign an experienced, solid number 1 if Turner will not sign permanently. Probably retain Nicholson and try for Linganzi again on season-long loan as looked the business. Coutts will hopefully flurish once more.

For me, Ellington, Brown, Carter, Wayne Brown and Russell can all take a running jump, and Johnson will never be seen around these parts again. Brown will finish the rebuilding job started so poorly by Fergy and we should be at least in the POs come end-2011/12.

Yes! I have thought this recently. He mentioned that he may move on to carry on playing as he won't play for dingles too much. Him in league 1 would be an asset!

if we go into next season with morgan as a first choice centre half then we are well and truly doomed.......he without doubt one of the worst players i have ever clapped eyes on....his lack of awareness is quite staggering, his inability to tackle is costing us game after game

sounds like he wants to stay for the challenge ...

Brown revealed he is already gearing up for life in League One and said as many as 12 out-of-contract players could go in a summer exodus.

He explained: "We've got big decisions to make and already we've signed around 10 to 12 younger pros who will probably go towards being the core of the squad next year."
