They’re shit, unnecessary and need to be binned. This three-week one, only a few weeks into the season, is especially ridiculous.
I worry that players lose a bit of momentum and fitness, although to be honest I don’t think that will particularly affect us.
My biggest issue is that it just leaves a massive void at the weekend. I’ve got zero interest in watching England, and then all these missed league weekends have to be squeezed back in somewhere, usually with more midweek games.
So you end up with players potentially playing three games a week later in the season, which surely only increases the risk of injuries. I just don’t see the benefit of stopping the domestic season for this long.

Agree it’s shit but I hope we lose all our momentum

I wouldn't travel anywhere and pay to watch an England game of any description ( i did once at the old Wembley. Travelled to London but never got to the game but that's another story). Fair play to those that do but it just doesn't interest me anymore.

I’ve got less and less interested in England over the years…

In the 1990’s , I watched England play Holland and Brazil at Wembley in competitive matches and also went to watch a World Cup qualifier against Austria at Old Trafford in 2005.

My only away game watching England was in 1998 when I went to watch England play Romania in the World Cup group stages in Toulouse …. There was a crowd of 33,000 there that night and about 10,000 had travelled from England…..

Now I can’t even be bothered to watch them on telly unless it’s the World Cup….

Why do you care?

You don’t attend the games when they’re on anyway.

Now that was dedication.👍
I wouldn't travel to the bottom of my road nowadays.
Shit patriot.

International break is shit but it is important imo. Its all helps us when we get to the Euros , WC etc. Tuchell cant just pick a squad off watching Prem games

I watch them on a dodgy stick — it’s free, it’s warm, I can turn it off when I’ve had enough and it doesn’t take up most of my day. Means I can still train and do the other things I’d rather spend my time and money on.
Doesn’t make me any less of a fan. I did my time when I was younger, travelling all over the place and spending half my weekend watching PNE. These days I’d rather watch from home and get on with the rest of my life!
