Is Derek Shaw now a Toffee

Is Derek Shaw now a Toffee

So I would suggest that it is there, along with several mentions of "perks" as if they are something controversial.

Well I am pleased about that, not that Moyes Snr is ill (hope he recovers soon), but that there is a good explanation.

I see you have searched the forums for this. I can remember saying it, though not in what context. To be fair though, in all honesty I should not have said it. I apologise, probably in a fit of anger when one of the cronies was insulting me (its what they do best). However, I was wrong to say it.

Derek did a stupid amount of hours, at least double more likely quadruple what Adolf Lindsey does.

If he could not even make a decision regarding the price of season tickets, why was he doing all the hours though. If TH was deciding what money and when was spent or charged, why were long hours necessary? Its not a pop, its honestly because you say one thing and then claim another.

This post makes it sound like I had to put a lot of effort in. It was from your reply on page 3 of this thread. Which is why I took offence at the suggestion and quizzed you on it. I hope it addresses Boltons1 concern that I was being in some way dispicable (odd word to describe posts that contained no personal insults, but nevermind). I am pleased you see that it was wrong, but you were not under attack at that time (nor were you ever from me in this thread). Further I hope we can move on from that line of suggestion. Indeed it seems most of this thread is redundant.

I would suggest there are a lot of things go into running a football club, especially one scraping along at the margins, and that if Shaw put those sorts of hours in there was something to do with them.

No you are right, hand held up, I did say it without any provocation and again, I should not have done it I was completely and utterly wrong. You have not changed my opinion one tiny bit though.

You were hounding the poster, she had an opinion, you had an opinion however you wouldn't and still don't acknowledge that a lot of what she and I say is true!

Definitely rose tinted syndrome!

Joan has now put her hand up to the accusation that Shaw was on 'the take', however you must now admit that it is a little wrong, if not at least double standards, that Shaw said one thing then chooses to do the exact opposite. If Maurice was doing the same I'm sure you would have something to say about the matter 🙄!

Disagreeing with someones perspective is not "hounding".

I do not really care about ML, he can do as he likes, he is an employee of Preston North End (or whoever actually employs him) and as such is under no obligation to do anything outside work. Same as you and me are not bound to our employers and our views expressed privately are not the views of our employers.

What is the opposite of rose tinted syndrome? (which now seems to encompass disagreeing with people and daring to post a reply)

The biggest surprise to me about Derek playing the victim and going to Everton and Rovers is people seem shocked , weve had years of being told we couldnt replace him yet it was as easy as most of us thought it would be , ML as ive always said isnt my choice but non the less he stepped up to the plate with very little time lost . All ive heard sinse Derek left is how loyal he was and even now were told fairy story,s about how for 3 years he wanted to slash season ticket prices yet i clearly remember him say we couldnt afford too , 1 way or another he tells lies . But its time to move on really and accept thet all played there part in our downfall and start to plan for the future .

Did you ignore Joan's post about why he was at Everton?

I do not pretend I know the motivation for what happened with season tickets but the theory is pretty clear. Chairman says to board "I have a good idea", board say to chairman "yes but we can not do it", Chairman is asked about the idea:

1) say that he wants to do it but the board said no
2) say that we can not do it (as the board said)

We all know that any chairman has to say 2) in public. I am always having to say something I do not believe in because it was has been officially decided. Again why is Shaw somehow not to be subjected to that professioalism?

I do not think ML has stepped up to the plate, or shown how easy it is to replace the chairman, PNE is a different entity now to what it was as a PLC. The roles are different and the assessment of those roles will also be.

You are right though, mouse, time to move on (and with it move on this emotive language of "lies", it was in all probability simply the position of the company being said by the chairman of the company).

Why the fuck are people defending Shaw?

As a previous poster said, the cunt was demanding loyalty from us fans and demanding we spend our cash. We had the Ream Team telling us what a devoted fan he was and now look at him?

Fucking hypocrite/s.

How many other visits?

I genuinely do not know, there only seems to have been talk of one, and some more when he was young. I am not saying he has not been to Goodison a lot while PNE have played at Deepdale, I just did not see any reports of it 🙂

And I am not sure I like "excuse", it is a very negative word 😉

I hear he's quite a regular at Goodison these days.

Never set foot in Deepdale since being sacked has he?

He,s been a reguler there its quite common knowledge and rovers to i believe , now you see what i mean about excuse , it might be negative but fair i think under the circumstances . I would love to see the evidance though regarding his claims he wanted cheaper season tickets , i wonder if its as solid as when he pretended to step down ? thought provoking no ?
