Tough to get a really good loan for a young Keeper unless he's going to be a back up. Obviously you'd like to see him as high up the pyramid as possible, but even it he ends up at a Chorley or a Brig, as long as he's playing every week it can only be a good thing.Had the right profile coming from playing well in Scotland but didn't work out.
Get a proper experienced #2 in and LBS on a good loan. Easier said than done but absolutely doable

At least we have been proactive about it. If you lose your place to Dai, it's over.
Good luck to him, but very poor keeper. Would rather have Stowell on the bench than him
Excellent news.
Did we get a fee for him?

Had heard (before the Middlesbrough game) there'd been a massive falling out.
Good move back to a club he's done well at, much better keeper than a lot of people think, based on one game where the ten men in front of him played like traffic cones.

Looked poor against Wrexham and Barrow as well.Had heard (before the Middlesbrough game) there'd been a massive falling out.

His job as number 2 is to come into those games and just be ok…he didn’t.

Disagree about barrow. Thought he played well and thought we had finally signed a capable number 2.Looked poor against Wrexham and Barrow as well.

Opinions.Disagree about barrow. Thought he played well and thought we had finally signed a capable number 2.
Agree about the Wrexham game.
I remember him under no pressure clearing to their attacking midfield position.
It’s just when I see the basics like that against poor opposition happen it starts forming that opinion.
Thought better side punishes us.

To be fair I get your point but he did ok when he came in, he will no doubt be no 3 GK.I'm sure Dai Cornell is a decent bloke and folk speak highly of him.
However, we've seen enough to know he's a shite goalkeeper and for that simple reason, and putting all sentiment aside, no fucking about, he needs to be offloaded....a number 2 Championship level goalkeeper he isn't.
Jack Walt-off.
Was thinking the same , have they agreed to just terminate his contract and make him a free ?I thought transfer window was not open yet ? Can deals still be done,
Sometimes the simple things are best. 👏Jack Walt-off.

Agree, but it’s difficult one, a better keeper would want significantly more than we are likely to be paying Dai and most decent keepers wouldn’t be prepared to sit on a bench for most of the season and perhaps just get a game in the cup games. I said previously I think our best option would be to get rid of Pollit, Cornell and Walton and bring in a decent keeper at the end of his career as a player coach. Someone like Tom Heaton. I believe he’s signing another contract as 3rd choice at Man United, but a player coach role may be more appealing.Hope Dai won’t be No2 Gk, nothing against him, but we do need a better No2 GK.
Ideally, your 2nd choice keeper would be an U23 who has at least a chance of developing into a Championship standard keeper, and can push the No.1.
Instead, we're just bringing in L1 level keepers and expecting them to cope when called upon.
Must be some good, young keepers over in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe who are available for a decent price. It'd be nice to have Iversen's eventual replacement in the building before he leaves, you know, actual planning...

His performance against Boro was disgusting, and we may have lost but nowhere near as heavily with any other keeper in goals. He threw 2 goals in.
