No rush to make a decision on Lewis but realistically Brady won't be here next season (although you never know - he's managed to get 4 seasons out of us incredibly). He might not even play for us again, depending on how his recovery goes.

If everyone is fit and available, surely he and Keane are struggling to make the match day squad and are free to leave in summer.

I'm not totally convinced on Lewis yet, but he's doing okay. If he continues to do well, we could essentially replace Brady before he's even left. Could end up being a smart bit of business.

Long term you then have Vuk and Lewis for the left, Small and Pol for the right. Still probably not enough considering how many injuries we have.

No need to commit to a longer deal yet, certainly no need for a deal over a few years. Let's see how he does in the next few weeks. Wouldn't surprise me if there is an agreement in place for him to remain with us for the rest of the season if both parties are happy with how it's going.

It depends on his wage demands having had 'high fee' transfers in the past which presumably gave him big wages.

In respect of Brady, whilst he usually manages to wangle Xmas off he's surpassed himself this time and whilst it might be unfortunate for him he got injured even earlier than usual, and as Heckinbotham himself said, an injury prone Player of a certain age is not going to unfortunately ever not be 'injury prone' so why he got the last contract is contentious, and with all due respect to the Player, he certainly shouldn't have another one.

On the right terms Lewis is a good addition to the squad, on the basis that modern Football seems to give most Clubs injury hit squads,

He’s certainly an athlete; a useful/necessary attribute for a wing back. He did ok tonight but not sure if he’s got enough skill to create and his crosses were generally wayward. Still currently a useful addition to the squad.

It’s early days and might not sign this week. But also taking his international performance into account, I would certainly be drafting out the paperwork so that it’s ready to go.

Great cross for Lindsay's header though. Not like anybody else is on target every time.

Thought he did ok but defensively looks weak and slow but hopefully that’s down to match sharpness.

Utterly baffling that people were advocating for a multi-year extension after 1 start.

Unfortunate for him of course, but personally hadn't seen anything from him to warrant keeping him here longer.

He would've been third choice LWB when Vuk is back.

Too soon and too fewer games to form an opinion either way.
