why are the lights on the ground tonight?...somebody being shown round per chance?

I'd say any signings will be announced tomorrow as Thursday is media day. I'd expect one/two of Colback, Nimely, Guidetti and Bertrand.

All 4 would be good signings. Especially Colback and Bertrand both have had good spellings already at this level and if rumours are to be believed that both would be with an option to sign permenantly in the summer, then we could have an exciting summer ahead, if we stay up that is. I'd still like to see another striker one with both height and pace, that would complement all 4 of the strikers we currently have on the books and also another winger.

I would imagine Colback would play right hand side? I'm not sure mind. I think Guidetti would be a better option than Nimely, whilst also out of contract in the summer so could tempt him into signing for us permanently.

Hoping they've been done today so that they can train with us tomorrow and be announced to press in afternoon. Makes no sense not completing a deal until Thursday just because it's media day and then only having Friday to train with the squad.

I would like us to go for Dele Adebola. Forest have just signed a big lump from America and Dele was not featuring much even before. If we are to play ugly 4.5.1 or 5.4.1 formations who better as a short term creature to hold the ball up and take some pressure of our beleaguered defence.

I don't think it has anything to do with media day..........do you think they give a shit whether the media get to know or not?

Probably got something to do with when these guys get paid. Probably means the saving of a weeks wages by signing them on a thursday.........that's only a guess but if it saves say 5K it's worth doing.

And by a Thursday the parent team knows who will be needed for the following weekend after a week of training and injuries.

At least a bit of good news before saturday.

Skysports.com understands David Wheater has agreed a deal with Bolton and is set to seal a switch.

it cant just be a coincidence that phil brown signed on a thursday and ellington and linganzi signed the thursday after and im presuming another 1 or 2 to sign tomorrow (THURSDAY)

Colback's more of a left midfielder. Sort of in the same mould as Danny Pugh except a lot more technically proficient.

Adebola was a top Championshiop performer back in the day and much more than just a hold-up man. However, I see your point as he's probably not as bustling now as he once was. He's getting on a bit and would represent a gamble but I'd love to see him in a North End shirt before he retires. He's always been one of my favourite Championship players, he's so surprisingly skilful. Just my opinion anyway.
