You reckon Nugent is off to Lashers? Don't blame him as unfortunately looks like they'll still be a Premier League side next season. He would come back here in a flash if we were in same position as them.
Personally I don't expect us to land any of our targets do you? Especially as we are bottom of the League and every other team will pay a realistic contribution to the loan players weekly wage for example Waghorn to Derby. They can easily outbid us on that one. Obviously Sven doesn't really understand that Derby are Leicester's real main rivals after Forest!!
Plus the Leicester chairman is an expert on monetary matters.
I wouldn't bank on any real quality proven signings tbh would you?

The same attraction as there was for Phil Brown. If we go down, it's Alex's son's fault. Stay up and they are instant heroes.

Nimely went off injured after 25 mins for City's reserves against Liverpool tonight. Typical eh? If we ever had a realistic chance of getting him, I imagine it's buggered now. Another one bites the dust!

delfouneso would be a really good signing young strong and quick striker would be class at championship level but dont think it willl happen..
waghorn again would be a good signing but i can see him going to derby instead of us
nugent will be going somewhere in january i think but not coming back to us although id love to see it happen.
colback ive not seen much of him but heard he's a gifted young player sure he would add quality to the squad.
mcdermott good tricky winger and its something that i think we need an out an out winger
guidetti also a very good youngster and did well for burnley, i think the most likely of the listed players to come to us

Colback maybe signing for Blackpool according to sky sports
I don't think it would be in Sunderland's interest to loan Colbeck to another Premier League club as it could cost them dearly. IF he went to Blackpool and they then finished a place above Sunderland it would cost Sunderland a million or two on final positions in the league.

Question for you all here though on the subject of transfers - why do clubs always leave it until the very last day of the transfer window to make signings?
Surely if there is a player that you want/ need, the best thing to do would be to get in their before someone else does?

This is usually down to the agents and players holding out for better offers, when none come along they settle with what was originally on the table.
plus some clubs will hang back for a player and see if that player gets any other interest, this can save them money on fees and wages.

They only have one spare place in their 25 man squad unless they have outgoings e.g. Charlie Adam.
