Talking to someone very much ITK recently, they said the Hemmings family/estate were playing their cards close to the chest in terms of the amount of funding for next season. That would explain the lack of new contract offers. The decision making process probably now involves all of the family and KR so that is likely to be part of the problem. Of course they want to sell but didn't seem like anything imminent on that front. Maybe once we know where we'll be next season there'll be some action but concerning, if not surprising.

They might be tempted to go for the best RWB in the Championship?……….Wouldn’t believe a word he says.
Pretty sure he said they were priced out of Alisson and he was in a Liverpool kit 3 days later 🤣
Like a few have alluded too, it’ll be either him or Calvin Ramsey that go out on loan. Guess it depends if they decide to move TAA into midfield permanently and sign a new RB too.

Bored at work so decided to look ahead to Summer.
No point getting sucked into the excitement of last year and the 'higher calibre', approaching it with a much more level headed viewpoint.
Below are a few I think we will be in for given the price/wages etc:
Elliot Watt (permanent from Salford City)
Ben Whiteman replacement. There's been notable interest in Whiteman and I expect him to be sold for a fee as opposed to letting him walk for free. Ideally we renew his contract but don't see that happening. Elliot Watt comes in for a low fee being in the last year of his contract and I don't see him turning down the chance to step up in divisions and returning to his hometown club. Watt has impressed at Bradford and now Salford and even won a place in the League 2 team of the season.
Conor Bradley (loan Liverpool)
Lowe has been tracking him for a while and made it no secret he rates him. We made a move in January but Bradley and Liverpool both agreed his development would be better if he saw the season out with Bolton where he was settled and thriving. If Bolton fail to get promoted, I think it's absolutely nailed on that we will be in for him and at the front of the queue.
Alvaro Fernandez (loan Manchester United)
Self explanatory, been a revelation on loan and we would love to have him back. Due to his age and inexperience, I think we might have a chance of getting him back if Alvaro himself is open to it.
Zidane Iqbal (loan from Manchester United)
Another one we have had notable interest in. He's been here on work experience and impressed. Would be a DJ replacement for when he inevitably leaves on a free. No doubt we would face stiff competition though. Ideally Boro are promoted and they look elsewhere as the Carrick connection would no doubt trump us if financials don't.
Tom Cannon (loan from Everton)
As with Alvaro, very self explanatory. Will no doubt get a full season out on loan but I expect the queue to be huge given his Archer like success here in half a season. Would need another 'we'll match any offer' jobby and then hope he fancies it again.
Ashley Barnes (free transfer)
A similar type to Chedwyn, old, wily and a bit of a shithouse. Still has the legs to play at this level and offers a physical presence as well as a goal threat. There are no doubt better options out there but I fully expect him to be on our radar as he's free.
Jordan Thorniley (free transfer)
If Bauer is still being frozen out then we need a centre back. Thorniley is out of contract and will no doubt not be signing a new deal if/when they drop down to League 1. He will be cheap on wages, free to sign, has Prem academy experience and a Scouse connection. Lowe will be all over it.
Niall Ennis (free transfer)
One of two out of contract as Plymouth, I imagine we will be having a look at both but Ennis probably has the physical characteristics to hack it at this level. Lowe knows him, he's on a free and no doubt fits nicely into our wage structure. Good age too.
Great work.
Though, are you a little worried about starting the ‘Summer Transfer Thread’ again or has @JK banned it from happening 😂

According to my Bristol City mate they are signing McRorie from Aberdeen for £2m and getting Joe Bryan back on a free. Not sure about paying that much for a SPL defender but Scott McKenna went for more and has been a great signing.

Jay Dasilva. Sort it out. Literally couldn’t ask for a better option on a permanent for that LWB role with our budgetAccording to my Bristol City mate they are signing McRorie from Aberdeen for £2m and getting Joe Bryan back on a free. Would be absolutely perfect for us.Jay Dasilva. Sort it out. Literally couldn’t ask for a better option on a permanent for that LWB role with our budget
Wouldn’t surprise me if Lowe has been on Zoom already with him and his agent trying to sell “the project” before hitting him with the shit wage bomb.
Very much doubt he’d come here like, would have to be some sell from Lowe.

Oh right thought they meant he was a scouser but seems like he's from Warrington.
One of them would be superb...even mabaya but think Bradley and Ramsey just cos of experience.
Is there any Burnley or Sheffield utd players that we could have a chance of getting that are good championship players but prem is too high for them so they may be let go?
Would've said Max Lowe, he's done the rounds of top end championship with Derby, Forest and Sheffield United without ever being a regular starter at any of them.
Jayden Bogle is still there aswell. Wasn't good enough last time out to get in ahead of Baldock at prem level so again someone who did well at Derby 3-4 years ago and is still reasonably young and is top end championship quality.
These are the signings a side serious about promotion would be making anyway.
Probably end up with Billy Sharp on a 3 year deal.
Rhys Norrington Davies only has a year left.
15 appearances this season, mainly at LCB, but can also play LB and LWB. Only 24.
Surely won't play any part in the Prem.
He was starting every week before his bad injury I think. Would've probably played a bit for Wales in the world cup aswell so don't see that as a serious option.
Perhaps if they sign a few new CMs, guys like Norwood and John Fleck will be available but again wages and they might just fancy hanging around as prem squad players which I wouldn't blame them for.

Max Lowe has been their first choice. He picked up an injury which is when Norrington Davies was playing, but Lowe started and is ending the season as their preferenceHe was starting every week before his bad injury I think. Irrelevant. We can’t afford any players under contract, especially ones who’ve been promoted. No chance
Would Will Dickson from Man City be a decent loan for next season?

Both Ennis and Hardie out of contract in the close season. Both have been offered contract for next season so its in the laps of gods what he decides to do. We got him through the Dewsnip connection. He appears to be happy here and should u wish to see a good goal from him watch the argyle match day moment on youtube v bristol roversBored at work so decided to look ahead to Summer.

Yeah I'd be all over this, but I saw an article not long ago that he was one of the top earners at Bristol City.Jay Dasilva. Sort it out. Literally couldn’t ask for a better option on a permanent for that LWB role with our budget

Could be a load of bollocks, but according to the above link he is on 8K per week.

He was close to joining another Championship club on loan in January from what I believe.Apparently nobody has contacted him thus far, we should be all over it. He is staying local.
Like you say, should be all over it.
You think they would have touched base with him, with the likelihood we will remain in championship. No signing on fee gives room for wage negotiation. He was close to joining another Championship club on loan in January from what I believe.

Superfluous second half of the sentence I reckon![]()
