Derby will probably be a tough matchup for us as they are a similar style. Unlikely we'll have close to 70% possession though.

I don't think teams will massively change the way they play to go against us. That's been something we've struggled with plenty before this season. But now do have a couple of individuals who can make something happen, which we didn't have previously.
As long as we don't have Lindsay, Smith and Mads in the starting 11 I think we have a good chance of getting back on track.

Couldn't disagree more.

He's a signing for the future and an exciting one at that - probably the best young player to come out of Ireland in years. Pre-injury Premier League clubs were tracking him - if he hadn't had the injury it's doubtful he'd be available to us. Obviously, there's more uncertainty given his injury but if we're going to take a punt this is a good one to take in my opinion.
That might be more the standard of Irish football at the moment.

Are we actually linked to him? Do think he will be loaned somewhere mind.
Not sure we have been just fans saying he could be an option. I think for Scarlett ‘s long term career if he does go out on loan he needs to go somewhere were he will be first choice and playing every week putting him the shop window.

If Armstrong doesn’t come back I would hope DM would offer us a loan of someone who would strengthen our squad in whatever position PH prefers.

Can see Nathan Patterson being offered.

His career really stalled badly in last few years. Was supposed to go on loan to Sevilla in August but Everton couldn't secure a replacement in time.

Once upon a time at Rangers he was an exciting wingback so McCall will know about him and possibly young enough still to get his career back on track.

Still linked with Sevilla, and also Lazio and Bologna

Hmmm…Seville, Rome, Bologna or Preston. Tough choice

Bologna is like CL/Europa regulars these days and Lazio are usually top 6/7 so with respect to Patterson if he's hardly getting in the Everton team he ain't getting a sniff at those two.

Sevilla...yeah I'd obviously go there to get some sun and play in top league rather than coming here but at same time can stay where he's based, potentially come here and start 20 games and could still force his way into Scotland's World Cup squad.

Always felt a little obscure but it looks like he’s moving on a loan with an option which is probably the route we’d go down.

The new midfielder Stefan Thordarson is set to join training on Tuesday according to #HAZ and could potentially already play in Kaiserslautern. The transfer is not yet official; the signatures are still missing. 96 is to transfer 450,000 euros to Preston North End.

So at the moment, Armstrong not coming back Thor sold for half of what we paid no definite links to any signings apart from an injured Irish lad , the pitch looking like a ploughed potato field . Should we expect a statement from Ridsdale do we want a striker or a new pitch . 🥴

I think that statement has already been made.
One budget for all overheads.

And probably on £50k a week if not more knowing what players are paid these days with the others will to pay it all while we offer a minimal amount

So instead of adding more additions to our squad we sell one and another goes back on loan. Is this a new tactic to fall away in the 2nd of the season blowing away our best chance of top flight football?
I wouldn’t be surprised if a fully fit Potts and the return of Brady is classed as new signings!

Maybe don't shit your pants 11 days into a transfer window.

Your last sentence is a bit of a stretch. Nobody at the club is going to try that one😃
