Top line summary from me.
Great support.
First deflection and spun over Lonners head (he had already commited himself , not quite England v Germany Italia 80 but you get the drift.
PNE couldnt put three passes togther without losing it especially first half.
PNE gave the ball away far too frequently.
Ellington did ok bit more fitness and he will cause problems.
New lad from Hull looked well off the pace and agin was a culprit in losing the ball far too easily.
Barton a total shocker Full stop.posseion.
Treacy great free kick great save near the end.
New lad from QPR 4/10 lacked composure and a degree of fitness.
SSL not a great game made a few rash clearances that nearly fell to opposition.
Hulme bust but no real end product or service to him.
Midfield in general create nothing and run round like headless chickens whilst Barnsley pass it round them.
Lose Sat and we are down and on that showing tonight I cant really see us staying up.
O the ref had a shocker and gave North End nothing.
Keep the faith (if you can)

ive just got back aswell, i agree with everything you say but will add that is the worst ive seen st ledger play, hoof ball, out of position, being constantly left for dead by their forward, and the first touch of a fat elephant.
North end as a team didnt string two passes together on the ground all night, at times it was real sunday park stuff. On that showing we will probably only pick up about another 10 points.

I stopped off at Tesco to buy some beer, so you beat me back.

Good support (818) , sung nearly all the way through and never went negative. I guess the shit fans were on here instead.

The players looked like that he had not played together before, which I suppose, some of them had not. Plan A did not work and it was difficult to see how we would get back into the game after the first hour. The players did not understand plan B after the two substitutes and we were a bit of a shambles. For the last 15 minutes we played park football and nearly got back in it. The three home grow players (Lonergan, McLoughlin and Mayor) were the only ones to emerge with credit. Hume gave a 100%, but to no real effect. Clarke looked very poor.

In 42 years I have seen worse, but not much, and not often.

Good summary, pretty much spot on. Its good to see you still trying to keep the faith despite the performance, unlike someone else on this forum.

Add to that, that man of the match Lonergan made 4 or 5 fantastic saves to keep the scoreline respectable, and you've given a pretty decent summary!

I thought we were shocking in the 1st half but the better side in the 2nd. We had all the ball with Barnsley just trying to catch us on the break. We just made some really bad decisions at the wrong times. Mclaughlin had a glorious chance with the keeper to beat and he pulled it back across goal. Adam Barton looked like he was on a different planet and Ashbee & Clarke were poor. Mayor looked a threat when he came on and Treacy was unlucky not to score from a free kick.

Lonergan made a couple of great saves and he can count himself really unlucky for their first. However he then fucks up a decent nights work by gifting them the 2nd goal which they were crying out for. Up until that point there was only one team that looked like scoring.

Finally everyone can see that we're crying out for a goalscorer, Leon Clarke is not the fuckin answer.

Just got in myself.

The system just didn't work and our ball retention was poor.

When we reverted to 4-4-2 we looked much better and finally had some width but we just didn't look like scoring.

Leon Clarke, on that performance, is an empty head.

He head a great opportunity to tee up Treacy but instead passed it about 3 yards in front of him straight to a defender and the chance was gone. He then ran after the ball and took the man down from behind and earned himself a yellow card.

+1 well said

Wouldnt say he 'gifted' them a 2nd goal though. Yes, it was a shit kick but it still got to the half way line and Barton was that unbelievably slow to react, waiting for the ball instead of meeting it, that their man just ghosted past him an won it, game over. Agree with your first bit though mate!!

He certainly looked every bit as shit as everyone said he was. Shocking player!

I thought Ashbee was quality myself, dealed with everything he had to and covered St Ledger's ass on a few occasions. No messing about.

Cheers mate, as most people know, I don't rate Lonners but up until the 2nd goal he was definitely our MOM. The save in the 1st half was superb, it was hit that hard I thought it had hit the post with the distance it rebounded out.

Thing is though, we see the best and worst of Lonergan in the same 90 minutes.

He made some outstanding saves but then that clearance for the second goal was poor.

For me, Connor McLaughlin and Danny Mayor's brief cameo were the only real positives to take from that. Individually, everyone else was either poor or downright shit. McLaughlin looks like he could be some player. Just another one we'll have to sell on sooner or later though I suppose. Think Brown is doing the right thing by playing Billy and him as the two full/wing backs. Cal ain't up to it, either as a captain or a left back.

Some of his passing was woeful mate, just hope it's little bit of ring rust. He seemed to settle a bit more in the 4-4-2.

Yeah, he didn't look great in my opinion but we should really put it down to rustiness. I think Brown should be making him captain myself if we are to believe what the Hull fans say about him.
