Just got back.

Just got back.

Top line summary from me.
Great support.
First deflection and spun over Lonners head (he had already commited himself , not quite England v Germany Italia 80 but you get the drift.
PNE couldnt put three passes togther without losing it especially first half.
PNE gave the ball away far too frequently.
Ellington did ok bit more fitness and he will cause problems.
New lad from Hull looked well off the pace and agin was a culprit in losing the ball far too easily.
Barton a total shocker Full stop.posseion.
Treacy great free kick great save near the end.
New lad from QPR 4/10 lacked composure and a degree of fitness.
SSL not a great game made a few rash clearances that nearly fell to opposition.
Hulme bust but no real end product or service to him.
Midfield in general create nothing and run round like headless chickens whilst Barnsley pass it round them.
Lose Sat and we are down and on that showing tonight I cant really see us staying up.
O the ref had a shocker and gave North End nothing.
Keep the faith (if you can)
Should of stayed at home...It sounded better ont wireless

HE was to blame, Ill admit he was helpless witht he first goal that took a savage deflection.
But when we was all over them and there was only ever going to be one team scoring a goal(US) he gifted them the ball and they raced clear and scored.
IT WAS HIS FAULT NO MATER HOW YOU DRESS IT UP.
He drilled it straight at there player ffs.

How can you solely blame a keeper for a 2 nil defeat? I guess lonergan was up front missing chances all game too?

Also, I never pull people up on grammar, but you must stop sayin 'we was'.

I dont give a toss about my Grammer. The fact remains it was all PNE and there was only one team looking like grabbing a goal, It was us, HE gifted them a goal and knocked any chance of a point out of the window. If you cant see that I suggest you take your head out of Lonners arse and have a look at what goes on.
All media sources are even saying it was Lonners scuffed kick that lead to us conceding a 2nd goal.

I thought we were poor and never really looked like scoring.

It was like 11 slugs crawling over a muddy allotment, with a giant sized Maurice Lyndsay and Trevor Hemmings dropping slug pellets at regular intervals, sporting malicious grins. If you can can imagine all that drawn by Gerald Scarfe. It started raining at the end, also. If you can substitute rain drops for maggots, that was what happened.

This was an excellent thread - with a very straightforward, readable report from the OP. Shaky ruined it with his usual anti-Lonners rubbish, totally ignoring about 199 mistakes from other team members, ignoring the great saves that Lonergan made, and focussing on the one poor clearance.

But Warren Joyce saved the day. A beautifully painted picture.

Probably because all the hard work was for fuck all when he gifts them a goal, We was on the front foot and looked like snatching a point from the game and Lonersyet again costs us. You cant use the excuse he made 4 other good saves before he gave them their goal. He does his job well at times then fucks up in the most monumental way that costs the team dearly.

He gave the ball away initially but Lonergan had a 'mare. We got what we deserved out of the game, nothing.

To say lonners had a mare is hard going.
He made one mistake and it was fuckin huge.
Barton looks like he is starting to believe the hype that has been around him, He was piss poor at best. Ashbee didnt set the world alight for me either and Clarke for all his work really did what amounted to fuck all.
We looked a different team with Treacy and the very impressive Mayor out wide with Ellington and Hume up front.

This has to stop surely with Lonners. I think he has a problem with his concentration personally. He must have. He also has no real competition to keep him "focussed". I have trouble concentrating for 18 holes of golf!!!

Wouldnt say he 'gifted' them a 2nd goal though. Yes, it was a shit kick but it still got to the half way line and Barton was that unbelievably slow to react, waiting for the ball instead of meeting it, that their man just ghosted past him an won it, game over. Agree with your first bit though mate!!

Their player also ghosted past the pathetic St.Ledger.

Ha ha. Classic. 😀 The rest of the thread was making me cry, but this from you Joyce really made me laugh and cheered me up. (Not sure if it's a good thing that it cheered me up, given the accurate description in your post!) Cheers anyway!

Ban Shaky he is obsessed with slagging lonners off

If he could catch the ball, stopped showboating, could kick, organise the defence, didn't get beat regularly from distance and didn't continually fuck up on a regular basis I'd be singing his praises you daft cunt.

As it is he's a fucking liability.
