And I can't say how much stupid arguments like this drive me mad you ambition free person!! It's not where we were that matters its where we are going, do you not get that?

If we carry on like this - fewer fans, diminishing interest, a big empty stadium and a policy of 'lending' our best players to better off teams who are our alleged rivals - then going to Barnet and Rochdale will be the best case scenario.

listen nobhead where did i say i was ambition free? i was just pointing out that its a lot better now then it was back then, these last few seasons have been the best in nearly 50 years so don't forget that. since the days of barnet and rochdale we have made a hell of a lot of progess. i want to get to the premiership as much as anybody else you prick
 
Does anyone need any more proof that Derek isn't right for Preston North End?

This is a piss take, they let him go and they'll lose yet more fans... Gates are up in the Championship, but down at Preston.. Wonder why that is?

Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate is closing in on a seasonlong loan deal for Preston centre-half Sean St Ledger.
Southgate as targeted St Ledger, 24, as replacement for Robert Huth, who left for Stoke last week.
He sent a top aide out to Ireland's game in Cyprus last night and Boro are hoping to tie up the move within the next 48 hours.

Surely it would be a loan deal until January and then he would sign on a permanent with us recievieng the fee or am I wrong? 😕

If Shaw had any sense....we`d keep SSL till after the WC hope he does well and sell him for 6- million but no we`ll probably sell for 3 million.

As I understand it, the options are:=

short term loan to a maximum of 93 days (leaves a gap before the January window opens).

Season-long loan, which can be replaced by a permanent signing in the January window.
 
How many defenders do we available at the moment - six including Collins? Are we really that strapped for cash? A real embarrassment if this happens.

I can ( just ) live with SSL making a permanent move to a Premiership outfit. If he goes on loan or permanent to Middlesbrough then Shaw can go and get fooked.

This would seriously end my purchasing of a season ticket ( which I have done since 70 71) - so DS sells our best midfielder to a rival and now SSL to a rival - sheer madness - I REALLY QUESTION WHETHER THIS CLUBS CURRENT SENIOR MANAGEMENT DESERVE ANY SUPPORT.
