Time is up- I was told he was very close to going at the end of last season . We do though want to be seen as a club that gives a new manager a very fair crack of the whip and every chance, not just a club that sacks on a few bad results- but its just delaying the inevitable now

We dont seem to have an identifiable style or purpose- we dont press, we dont pass forward, we are totally exposed in the full back position, overrun in midfield, and we just seem to boot it down the wings for Riis to chase as our main tactic. Playing Keane as a 10 was a disaster- gives the ball away too many times when played there. I really have no idea where our next goal is going to come from

I am pretty confident the search for a new manager is well underway. I'd bite the bullet now and put someone from the coaching staff in temporary charge

This season has 10/11 all over it. A squad that is very poor. A leadership team that is non-existent (Ben Whitemen, seriously?). A manager that is way out of his depth, and an ownership model that has Preston North End as a net drain cost item (which we are, and will always be until someone gets a hold of our currently dismal commercial model). He needs to be sacked tonight. Alex Neil brought back in as a priority!

The set up of this team is all wrong. The crosses - set pieces - suggest NOTHING has improved or changed from last season. 6 defeats in a row. No goal in 6 games- the worst run since 1960.? Sleep walking to oblivion . The body language of the players suggest all their self esteem and valuations are dropping like a stone. Get a proper manager and coaching staff in. Someone with acumen and discipline. Billy Davies. Cometh the hour cometh the man. And then at least we will not be staying down at the jaws of relegation. ……
There is no sleep walking involved, the hierarchy are neither blind nor stupid they just don’t give a monkeys. It’s all the same to them if the club goes out of existence. Ridsdale will retire and go and support the dirties and Hemmings will save money so no great loss to them at all.

I think he has 2 games left maximum.

Sunderland (h)
Swansea (a)

Fail in both and he'll be gone.

If the board have any sense, they'll already be drawing up a shortlist.

Whom though? Buggered if I know.
It was supposed to be Michael Duff end of the season when he was on the rocks...
