I don't mind a long throw, my issue is they clearly aren't rehearsed or involve any sort of movement or creativity. Like all of our attacks, there's no pattern of play or any source of creativity.

People are rightly saying this is a continuation of last season, but it's as much a continuation of Frankie at this point

He is the worst manager we have had in my 30+ years. Yes I included Westley, Phil Brown and Darren Ferguson in that. They all had much worse squads to play with.

Lowe is utterly fucking clueless. His insistence on this formation bugs the life out of me. Its never worked, it never will work unless he gets two outstanding wing backs.

Even then though, there will still be no plan B. No thinking outside the box.

You only need to look at how players regress under his management. Thordarson looked good tonight, hopefully Lowe is gone before he gets to destroy him as well.

The next 9 games will be similar to tonight.

This was just a continuation of final six weeks of last season at both ends of the pitch and shouldn't be a shock to anyone given it's been another lacklustre transfer window.

Loads needs to change for this club to be competitive for top 6 at this level on a regular basis but the easiest thing to change is always the manager and I expect that to happen within the next two months.

Tonight was probably the flattest opening day since 2-4 v Colchester in League one and Brown was gone within three months.

Compared to last season it’s better… that said all that happened was Freddie passed it to Jack who booted out or gave it away instead… just moved the problem.
