Real shame it didn't work out for him to the potential it could've done.

On his day he's up there with some of the better players in the league, but he has far too many bad performances and not enough good ones.

If he had a lot more 6-7 out of 10 performances, and less stinkers, he'd be a really good player as the ability is absolutely there.

Never agreed with the shouts he was lazy or really weak.

Wish him all the best. Certainly wasn't a failure of a signing. Best for both parties as he doesn't particularly fit in the system.

I wish Mads all the very best for his future, when he first arrived I’d hoped he was going to be someone we could build a team around but sadly it never materialised, numerous reasons why & I suppose most will have their own opinions but for me he never really coped with the physicality of championship football. There is definitely a player there in the correct environment. I hope he goes onto have a good career in Denmark.

I am sorry to see Frokjaer go - he is a player who can produce that touch of magic that eludes most others. But for whatever reason it was obviously not working out and a return to Denmark is probably in everyone's interest - maybe he was just missing home. So thanks Mads - maybe we will meet again in the Champions League.

Personally I was never sold on Mads. Another one happy to see the back of him.

Good to see Hecky getting rid of the fringe players.

Technically gifted that can’t be disputed. But never had the mentality to ever do well in this division.

You have to have a bit about you in way of having a bit of bollocks and a bit of character, and some form of ability to bounce back when the chips are down. He had absolutely nothing of the sort.

I don’t actually think the languid thing is a problem, DJ had that and was excellent for quite a long time, that’s a myth that has to be dispelled amongst number 10’s I think personally. Especially in the modern game. Same thing with them not running, Mads did run his ass off and press I thought at times and it became a lazy way to give him shit when he wasn’t doing well.

It’s strictly mentality that let him down for me, just didn’t have anywhere near the right character for this division, which to be fair, many don’t, it’s a tough league, very physical and very competitive.

Wish him well, he’ll do well with time and space on a pitch.

Never made it here but I do appreciate all the effort he did give for our PNE. Going back to his native country and into a club that should battle for European competition every season. Great move for him and good luck.

The first time I saw him was pre-season at Fleetwood.

Even then, he felt like the flair player we had been dreaming of, after having been starved of any kind of creativity during Loweball.

Mads then found himself enduring Lowe's managerial sulks because he didn't track back enough. (Which was never his game)

And then, under Hecky's high intensity high pressure game, he came up lacking in meeting his levels. Not for the want of trying.

Teammates, with the exception of Millar, were rarely on his wavelength.

One of North End's nearly men.

A different manager? A different time? Maybe it would have been different.

As it stands, he was an inconsistent maverick during an era of turgid monotony. I liked him for at least trying to do something different.

Good luck Mads. 👏👏👏
What might have been if that partnership with Millar had been allowed to develop.

Literally this, without him and Millar that season would’ve been enough for me to fuck it off forever.

That second half cameo at Bristol City on debut, thought we’d signed Danish David Silver.

Always tried hard, and you felt he had some talent, but facing reality, he was largely quite shit

IMO his grace tended to hide the fact he was working hard- and he was stronger than he appeared. Tags of lazy or lightweight were misplaced imo.

A player who lifted the heart, just to see him moving with the ball. Somehow not quite worked out and that was probably affecting his form latterly. A good chance he becomes a star back at Brondby - I will be one of those who would love to see it. Good luck Mads.
Totally agree.
