They showed ambition last summer and I think they will do this summer.
As for stopping attending Ando - don’t fall victim to the bedwetters that dominate this forum. Things ain’t so bleak.
Agreed they showed some ambition splashing out on a maverick creative midfielder but the manager does not know how to utilise him…Lowe needs defenders…10 defenders on the pitch would make him happy.

Yep, he leads the meetings when he is present. Rick Parry and Trevor Birch appointed (or at the very least didn't veto said appointment), PR as an EFL Board member.

Titles such as CEO and Chairman don't actually mean very much, what are the titles of the people with genuine significant control of PNE for example?

Feel free to request the Board minutes of previous meetings directly from the EFL. They will provide them should you be able to demonstrate a genuine direct interest in the content of/ actions arising in respect of the meeting.
Hmmm....I'm certainly no defender of Ridsdale but are you sure of this? He was found to have channelled payments from football clubs into his personal account rather than his company account and the Insolvency Service banned him from acting as a director for 7½ years, but were criminal charges brought? Was he actually 'convicted of fraud'?

(Fraud charges were brought against him in 2011 in the Cardiff 'Golden Ticket' case, but he was cleared).

The charges were dropped; I'm not sure that constitutes clearing him 🙂. He's a nasty and scurrilous piece of work...

Yes, I was quoting the Wales Online headline but you're quite right, charges were actually dropped after trading standards decided to offer 'no evidence'.

You happy with that?
No. I would like us to be in the Play Offs, but the point is that I don’t see us as relegation candidates.
The Summer Transfer 2023 thread contained 1000’s of posts making the same predictions, only to see us go top of the table within a month, which incidentally coincided with main bedwetter/doom agitator Thracia’s disappearance/repositioning his main posting activity to Bobbage.

I assume that there was a case for the prosecution, but it was too weak to guarantee a conviction. Such a shame to see it dropped 😂.

A bit pessimistic. What is it that makes you conclude that same manager and more or less the same squad that finished comfortably in mid table and were in Play Off contention will get relegated?
Just my two cents, but I would imagine if one replaced our "lucky" first eight or so games with an extension of that awful run that followed, we would've probably been in the relegation battle?

Quick reminder.

Mr Ridsdale did not dispute findings that:
  • Payments totalling £347,000, for services provided by the business to a football club where he was chairman, were paid into his personal bank account between May 2007 and March 2009 instead of to the company's account
  • He did not disclose the relevant transactions to the liquidator of the company who was subsequently told of them by the football club
  • He failed to ensure tax payments were made by the company. Unpaid tax at the time of liquidation included £166,421 in corporation tax, £102,279 in income tax and national insurance, and £173,653 in VAT
  • He failed to make sure the business filed accounts on three successive occasions

And, in other news, if my aunt had a cock....

Just don't call it fraud, when all he did was be found guilty of paying money from the football club where he was chairman into his personal bank account for services provided to the club by a company that he was a director of, and didn't pay around half a million pounds in tax that he owed.

It was nice that as chairman of a football club he hired himself for consultancy services. That's the kind of streamlining that modern businesses need.

Peter 1: "Hi Peter, I recommend you do this"
Peter 2: "Peter, I was thinking the exact same."
Peter 1: "how bizarre"
Peter 2: "How much do I owe?"
Peter 1: "Few hundred grand should do it"
Peter 2: "you sure you don't need more?"
Peter 1: "go on then. No one will know"
Peter 2: "it'll just be between you and me"

Changing the topic completely, to something entirely unrelated. What about the contract renewals of Josh Harrop, Sean Maguire and pre-RWB Brad Potts...
