Charlton made 10 changes last night against Spurs.

They should be more or less full strength on Saturday.

Last season Charlton felt like a winnable game. How can we spend circa £10m and it feels like we are the underdog this time around.

Can I change my vote… I said till the international break but cannot see any chance we will improve under this manager. Regardless of who we sign in the next few days (if anyone) I think he’s on the way out. Hopefully sooner than later.

Surely there must be some on going dialogue between Penrose and our potential buyers regarding the need for more players and also the manager situation?
If I was the potential buyer and I saw the present state of affairs I would be letting the sellers know exactly what I thought and be telling them to get it sorted.

Wouldn’t surprise me if the current owners have no willingness to foot an extra expense of firing a manager and will just let the new ownership decide whether they want to pay the fee it will cost.

Don't doubt you're right about that but again if I am the prospective buyer my attitude would be you hired this manager so its your mess to sort out.
Wouldn't surprise me if the new owners were considering their position regarding the takeover.

Win % 2026/27 to date = 0%

Hecky, Nice bloke but Deepdale duck could match this record for a butter pie and tuna spud chaser.
I’ve never got where this nice bloke bit comes from? Regularly gets banned from the Touchline for foul and abusive language and you can tell that anyone who interviews him, are treading on eggshells, knowing if they say the wrong thing, he’ll snap at them.

As I’ve said before, he’s an arrogant Yorkshireman, who thinks he knows better than everyone else, much like Ridsdale.

Change my vote.

Now!
I'm the same after tonight.
Played alright the first half, created some good chances, hit the woodwork twice. But we can't defend and he is the one picking the squad. It's a results business and he simply isn't getting the positive ones. Surely there's a manager out there who can get them well drilled at the back and creating up top - the squad has gaps and a few stinkers, but there's at least a good 11 there. I don't get why Small and Offiah are not getting starts.
