Seems like the issue of the manager has noticeably ramped up recently. I'm aware that feelings on match day usually run high, but I wonder where the silent majority sit on this.
Poll Manager Poll
I'd say more until the Takeover is complete, It's up to him to put it right and earn a chance under new owners. * subject to the Takeover being before end of October
I take no pleasure in this. Has to be sacked as soon as possible. I've taken a step back during the summer and hoped that with the new additions there would be encouraging signs and emerging positive patterns. It's hard to judge after Wolves alone, but the Bolton performance was really poor as well.
There is very little to be positive about. Selections are baffling, game management is non-existent and the results speak for themselves. We have brought in some decent players...Leroy and Clarke, and the Devine permanent signing is a positive. But we remain slow, ponderous, predictable and porous at the back: relegation qualities sadly.
A second string Everton will take us apart and then we have Charlton who just did West Ham over at the London stadium. We will need to pull the trigger sooner rather than later I reckon.

I think he has totally lost it regarding his best team. His substitutions are baffling. Best if we call it a day and see what the options are. Maybe look at assistant coaches who are ambitious in the Premier League or Clubs in Europe. Is Will Still good enough? or has he found a club already.

We should have parted ways at the end of last season. It’s not about losing at home to a recently relegated Premier League team, it’s because there’s still no discernible style of play, nor any obvious areas of improvement anywhere, whilst meanwhile the same mistakes get made over and over and over again. The club is on the verge of taking significant strides forward; he’s not the man required to help with that.

Seriously bored of him now. I'd like to think we could attract someone better. There has to be better options out there than Paul Heckingbottom.
To be fair, this squad is dreadful and no manager could work miracles with them, that said his selections are still mental (especially continuing to play the unholy trinity) and his tactics are dour, but I feel that the club will give him at least till the international break to see what he can do with the team after some more signings have arrived.
I'd lost faith in him a long time ago, but we all know what this club is like when it comes to sacking managers, he'll go, but it won't happen quickly.

I get what you are trying to say but we have been worse off in both of his seasons than we've been in since promotion.
Fuck the international break, he's had enough chances. Time to stop fearing change and be brave for once.

As I said on the matchday thread, I am concerned about the influence Mr P Riddles would have on player sales/incoming.
I know he has a certain input already but if Heckey was released in the next couple of days can you imagine the damage an "unchecked" Riddler could do!

He's very much in check by Penrose. As I said on the matchday thread, I am concerned about the influence Mr P Riddles would have on player sales/incoming.

For me, the sooner he goes, the better.
There's been many problems at this club - Ridsdale, the owners etc and Hecky is just part of it.
He's been here 3 seasons and in that time, the football has been largely turgid (to put it mildly) and has shown little sign of changing bar a bit of a purple patch early last season.
We're now into a new seaaon and we're seeing the same old shit.
I just have no patience for this crap anymore.

I'm not the biggest fan of PH but I would like to see what he can do if we get another 4 or 5 decent players through the door. He hasn't got a lot of time but, imo, deserves one last chance.
He took over in August 2024 so that is 2 years. For me, the sooner he goes, the better.

Meant seasons with this being his third. He took over in August 2024 so that is 2 years.
He has completely run out of ideas and is waiting for the pay off. Put him out of his misery.

He’s had 2 seasons to address this tbfThe squad he has to pick from is so disjointed it’s untrue. The spine of the team is weak as piss.
We need a defensive midfielder who can tackle and then can pass it off.
