I understand it - but it's madness hounding him out now.
These calls will already be massively jeopardising our chances of landing key targets in the Transfer market this week.

I wouldn't necessarily take the views of PNE online as being representative of the whole fan base - at the moment - it's at best representative of the forum, a significant part of whom either don't go on at all or only watch on the Box.

On the ground there where at most a few rumblings but nothing significant that he has totally lost the overall fan base - albeit as i have said that he is on thin ice and it probably won't take much more to really drop.

The criticism's at the moment are more general and from what i hear around us and on the concourse are more to do with individual Players and late substitutions.

Yeah... People who post on a Preston North End forum, don't attend games...

It is worth remembering Paul Simpson had us top of the Championship in November. If that is worse than Brown, Ferguson or Westley then I am really unusure how football works.

I am not saying Simpson was great, but he cannot be the worst manager this century.

My answer was the international break because I am inclined towards 10 games. I would look to see how the first 5 or 6 games with the new squad goes. I would especially be looking to see how the defence is sorted in the rest of this window.

For those saying do not worry about how this window goes, getting Heckingbottom out is the most important thing, there really is a massive need to get defenders in. Getting defenders is the most important thing for me. I would be giving PH the chance to do get the window right.

Whether we should have got rid in the summer is very much open to debate. I would not have done, but I was always a blind faither. Having not pulled the trigger in the summer then we are where we are and now the international break is the most obvious answer to the question.

I'm sorry, we are still in the same run of form from the end of last season.

Hecky out for me 👎

Any manager that genuinely thinks Liam Lindsay, Jordan Storey and Andrew Hughes should start against a newly relegated Premier League team like Wolves needs their credentials checking.

I think it’s all down to who’s advising Zedan from the football side of things during this takeover.
Since his interest began we’ve been on a shocking run of form so he may allow PH a bit of time from when the new arrivals come in this week.
One thing for sure if things don’t improve after the window shuts he won’t be here in January.

I don't like seeing managers getting sacked all the time, it's not good for the game but in this case Hecky needed to go a very long time ago. What are we waiting for? 2 games in and the football is as bad as it was when he first came in. Why are we trusting him with these next transfers? He doesn't deserve the backing he is currently getting, for what reason is he still here?

The new season has only just started and I already want it to finish, yesterday was dreadful, Bolton was equally as bad. Now he tells us we have lost out on our top targets, probably because they don't want to come here, I don't blame them. Just get him and his staff out, that would be my next job as owner.

it is not just about this season though, since Bristol City away we have won 4 of 22 league games, the start to this season is just a continuation of the shit PH (the blameless one) serves up.

I do wonder sometimes if he wants to get the sack with some of his poor team selections and poor subs etc. i would think potential new owners will want there own man in.

We keep discussing two issues.
1- our defending is woeful and we can’t understand why Hecky can’t see how bad our CBs are
2- our attacking is predictable and unimaginative including set pieces

I’ve come to the conclusion that these issues are inter-related. Our training sessions must be so bad that the forwards and defenders have got used to the level of each other.

.
No they won't.
If we have the rumoured group of six "Number one" targets lined up, the febrile atmosphere around the manager's position surely jeopardise things.

I think we all get how delicate these transfers can be. Players getting counter offers, even at the last minute. Or their mothers getting cold feet. The plans and sales pitch of the manager simply MUST be a factor that players consider when deciding on where to commit their futures. It seems very likely that this new turmoil will tip the balance for one or more of the six.
