Match Day - Coventry City v Preston North End (Sunday 25/08/13)

Coventry are going to score a lot of goals and leak plenty. 15 - 11 so far in the league. Lessons to be learnt by SG today.

Great result everything considered. What a rollercoaster!!

Not sure I agree with that ....3.4 with seconds to go we end up 4.4 feels like a loss to me 2 points dropped!
Funny day though read the thread at 3.2 Grayson would have taken a lot of stick at 3.3 he was a substitute hero but now? Well at least we are still unbeaten but we have let 6 goals in in two but we have scored 6 in two as well so most don't know wether we are happy or sad

As much as I dislike Cov, They didn't deserve to walk away with no points today. 4 games, 4 points. It isn't amazing, but it's better than nothing.

A point would have been great considering we should have been dead and buried but to go ahead, and then concede in the dying seconds the way we did with a back heel is simply galling!

But Elvis has got Coventry playing an ultra attacking type of game.

Yeah that's why you'd be advised to give over trying. Great result and a great game. Coventry are in a false position and any idiot can see that. Credit to PNE to go there and get a point. Shame it wasn't all 3.

Please don't pretend that you know better than Grayson because you quite simply haven't got any idea how to manage a football team.

Problem is, so far there seems to be a reason for every match as to why we couldn't have won it. Wolves, Champions elect, ex Prem etc.. Rotherham, just promoted. on a roll etc.. MK Dons, great team, top 6 certainties etc... and now Coventry "Coventry are in a false position and any idiot can see that".

At what point will we play a team in this division when there isn't a reason why we shouldn't win?

Next week cha!

Disappointing that we threw it away at the end, seems our defence isn't as good as we thought. Just hope lessons have been learnt.

I guess we get all this excitement when I create a Matchday thread, I thought that it may have been a lucky thread when we went 3-4 up with a few minutes of stoppage time left. But hey-ho I guess a draw away to Coventry is a decent point and we did better that we did away against them last season.

As I said, everything considered - meaning Coventrys form, the rollercoaster type of game, the fact we were 3-2 down looking at nothing, lots of factors and issues to take into consideration.

Yeah it's not a great start to season points wise, but you've again got to consider the overall picture and look at who we've played and it's important to avoid kneejerk reactions.
