Moyes

Moyes

I saw him in a tile shop a few years ago. I thought he knew me (Hey it's me, Moysie, you know from the Finney). He looked at me in a strange way understandably and carried on returning a box of tiles. Very tight, I believe, but a good bloke.

Big fan of the Moyes in mundane location stories. I was once behind him in the Tesco Express checkout queue. He was buying Lemsip. Every time he looked around to see if anyone was looking, I averted my gaze, then the minute he turned back I was staring at him thinking “that’s Davey Moyes!”

I like that, should be a thread about mundane encounters. More tenuous the better.

Edit: Meant to say tenuous not tedious.

Living behind the Pig and Whistle I Used to see him in the petrol station on Blackpool Road nr Springies. Also was a regular in the Chinese takeaway that is now Jhoney Rockets. Chatted many a time.

Moyes coming back to manage us would be like Rishi Sunak going to work at the checkout in his local Sainsburys when he rightly loses his current job. Neither will happen.
