Old boy signing on loan?

Old boy signing on loan?

That's all right until Garner gets injured. We could do with a young premiership striker in the mold of Patrick bamford at Chelsea who went to Mk dons and then stepped up at Derby. It would then be a win win for both clubs.

We don't have the fire power without Garner. Roll on tomorrow

The young prem strikers are now playing in the under 21 prem league.

Garner gets injured Tuesday night and is out for 4-5 weeks.

Do you feel confident with Kevin Davies and Jordan Hugill as our only out and out strikers ?

I can see what you are saying but with Kevin Davies, Hugill, Gallagher and Little we ought to be able to ride out short absences by Garner. The key name there is Gallagher - if he can't be played as a striker then what is the point of him? If not then you have to question SG's acquisition policy.

In contrast the possible absence of Wright tomorrow already means we may have to use a replacement - King - who by common consent isn't totally convincing as a central defender in a back four and has said himself that he prefers playing in midfield.

Good god, no.

Not of one signing. Gallagher has the ability to provide that spark when necessary.

King is very decent cover for Wright, last season he cleared at least 2 goals of the line and was ever present in a very solid back 3/4. Plus him and Clarke both have the ability to play the ball out from the back.

When you consider the possibility of losing Garner to injury we do have a lack of quality to cover, hopefully a deal will be done before the transfer window closes.

Let's face it most people on here won't be satisfied unless it's Nugent, Fuller or Andy Saville comes out of retirement. But I ask could anyone be less effective than Gallagher has been in the last 3 games? (JD)

Didn't go but it sounded like Gallagher played well on Saturday, his delivery sounded spot on.

Probably correct but in the first two games he was extremely frustrating. I doubt Craig Davies would have contributed less.

Gallagher isn't suited to this 4-3-3/ 4-5-1 system for me.

I rate the guy but he disappears when he's asked to stay out wide. Sounds like it clicked on Saturday though.

I know that he hasn't played for us before, but would anyone like this below player ( Frank Nouble, scored for Ipswich here at Deepdale in the cup last season) at PNE on loan? I've taken this below Information from the Sky Sports Website Via the Transfer centre section. I'm only suggesting this player to see what other peoples opinions are of him etc?

BREAKING NEWS: Gaffer confirms that Frank Nouble is available for loan or transfer

Nouble. No thanks. Missed an absolute sitter on Saturday that I would have scored and I'm 50 ! He's never excelled anywhere. Been on loan at several clubs and non have shown an interest in signing him. I can't see Nugent going out on loan. He played for Leicester on Saturday in the Prem

Craig Davies - all the attributes to be a top class bustling striker in the Alan Shearer mold striker but rarely shows them...

Why? Scored a lot of goals at this level.
And on the negative side, he has scored 2 in 20 apps since Boxing Day, refused to play for Coventry as soon as he got a sniff of an easy move out of League One, and ponces about in woolly mittens even when the sun is shining.

For me, it's a big fat Leon Clarke-shaped "no".
