On BBC Radio Blackburn at about 2-30 I caught a snippet by Gary Hickson about something that Brown had said on a programme - I missed a lot of what he said as the wife was nattering.

Can anyone expand on what happened ?
 
He was asked a question, "who would you like to see expunged from football?" His answer was, "Peter Ridsdale, he bankrupted Leeds, Cardiff and Plymouth and now hes doing the same for Preston."
 
Surprised the media get the chance to ask Phil Brown any questions given the amount of Chairmen that are knocking on his door offering him the chance to manage their clubs...

Presumably on Fighting Talk? I know it's a tongue in cheek show but even so not the cleverest comment to make.

Not bitter then Browny. Good luck in your new job. Oh. What's that? You're completely unemployable in football? Thought so.

Thing is he isn't, is he? The person doing to ripping off is hemmings.
 
How could Ridsdale POSSIBLY bankrupt us?

We were already in more debt than will ever be paid off, this side of the Prem. And I`m guessing he won`t be around should we ever get there.

Normally when a chairman starts getting abuse he responds by making a significant change within the club. However, as Ridsdale isn't officially our chairman anymore is he even in a position to make any changes in the club?

As for Phil Brown, he talked a good game when he joined us. However, he's one of those managers who's likely to pop up managing abroad in the Greek second division or something like that because no decent club in England will touch him.

I hope that one day we are in as terrible a state as Cardiff are right now. Must be dreadful being in the championship unable to compete.

When he was interviewed on late kickoff, he was giving it the big "due to confidentiality clauses I cant discuss that", presumably due to us still paying him a wage. Would be interesting if said confidential clauses are breached (probably not). Dont know what context this was mentioned, but I'm sure Riddler may consult his lawyer about libel.

I used to have an Austin Abassador, along with the Allegro the main reason why British Leyland no longer exists!
