PNE Academy 2026/27

PNE Academy 2026/27

Yeah Slater may not have made it at Brighton, but we got a little chunk of change for him too.

Would be better if we made the most of Dolan of course. All we can do is keep trying to improve the pathway and give the young lads as good a chance as possible.

I have a horrible feeling we've done the same with Robinson and Nolan this year.

Not sure if you'd agree or not but I thought he was wasted at CB, not convinced he fully enjoyed it either from what limited game time I saw.

Looked much more like a tall, direct and powerful left wingback to me, like a Vuckevic or a left-sided Potts. Can ping some belting crosses over with both feet! Hope he gets fixed up soon!
He’s doing pre season with Chorley, so let’s see where it goes, I believe the coach at Chorley is good mates with his old Coach at Cadley.

I know it's pre-pre-season training time with players doing work with personal trainers etc, but I think I've just spotted Clayton Lescott training at/with Hyde Utd... 🤔

Both us and the Plastics are sending the u19s to play Marine in July.

Doesn’t mean much to me as not so clued up on the Academy but question for @Bobbage did our U15s probably our now U16s win the regional’s tournament recently?

The u15s beat Portsmouth 4-0 in the national finals, the 14s lost 1-0 to Charlton Athletic in another national final.

Cheers, something that happens all the time having scouts at the games I know but apparently Birmingham have been keeping tabs and interested in a couple of the lads.

Charlie Whalley and George Gryba will be in demand from clubs higher up the food chain, as well as Li-Bau Stowell.
They seem like decent lads.

They were pretty clear that it was a couple of lads from the u15s that won the final but it didn’t mean much to me.

Ahh OK. Admittedly I haven't seen them play myself, but I'm told Boggan in defence and Imadayi up front are two to watch at their age group. Think I've seen them named on the bench for the 19s this year iirc?

Do you reckon if they give a defensive position to Boggan he'll receive a lot of sledging from the opposition?
