I’ve not paid much attention to it tbh , hadn’t realised who was on the listYou could've at least voted for the 4 of us on here. 😉
I think it’s all a bit pointless but that’s just my opinion

No doubt - but as I noted above, all that shit about season cards was ditched from the eventual Terms of Reference.
Also ditched was this bit from the 2024 draft: "There will be mandatory rotation of 25 per cent of the membership every three seasons in order to keep consistency."
Everyone can now serve for 6 years, then get themselves "elected" again after a 2-year break, for potentially another 6 year term, and so on forever.
Can't be having too much rotation when it's really just Ben's chums.
You're probably right, I won't be standing again.I’ve not paid much attention to it tbh , hadn’t realised who was on the list

It does feel a bit odd. Honestly, I treated it as a job interview and felt they did too. So I was quite surprised when it went to a vote. It felt like it should have been a vote or an interview! You're probably right, I won't be standing again.
I don't mind losing in a fair vote but the whole process and lack of transparency suggests it was anything but.
The link @Tony-Garstang posted above is an early draft by Ben Rhodes, written in 2024 before anything had been made public, and before he then spent a year fannying around tweaking how the FANnies would work.I hadn't seen any mention of these changes of terms in the MOU meeting notes (granted, I don't give them more than a quick glance) so I wonder how these changes came about and who decided/agreed on them?
Even just the setting up of this group highlights perfectly how it will go...
I thought it was 13

Feel free to click the link I provided.I thought it was 13
I’m inclined to agree….I don't even think it's a Ben Rhodes chummy thing. Regardless of who is 'elected', the outcome will be futile.
Maybe one dropped out prior to the interview process , I’m sure that there were 13 names originally…
I had an email from Ben Rhodes, which presumably everyone else who stood received, that it was 12 in the election, can’t say I bothered counting them though.Maybe one dropped out prior to the interview process , I’m sure that there were 13 names originally…
I remember thinking what an odd number…
Anyway, its irrelevant.
On a separate note , Ben Rhodes is guest speaker at the Sporting Memories weekly session next Tuesday in the Great Room.
There might be one or two questions relating to the FAN selection process
We done. It’ll be interesting to hear what you think about the meetings once they start and if you think you and the others elected are being listened to.I got an email yesterday saying I'm in, so thanks for any votes from people on here. No fixed date for a first meeting yet but they're aiming for this month and I'll be interested to see how it runs and how any output is communicated. I don't know who the others who got elected are yet either.

That's already enshrined in their Code of Conduct.Item one on the agenda, just sign this paper to say what is said in this room stays in this room. 😟

It seems like the likelihood of posting on here is inversely proportional to the chance of being (s)electedyour massive contribution in here obviously counted towards your successful application, remember to let us all know how it goes!!!
