P & G make Tampax as well, although I'm struggling to think of a witty line to go with that!

**Chortle**Good because we are going through a bad period. 😀
Now then, could any of you tell me who was arguing the case for Proctor when so many were saying he was crap and would never make it?
For next season I make that 4 youngsters who will start to make a real impact i.e.
McLaughlin, Barton, Mayor, Proctor.
Then just behind them we have Wright, Devine, Middleton, Miller, Douglas and Hayhurst.
It will be a case of us taking a relegation hit now in order to re-group, get three older heads in to organise things and then we'll take the 1st division by storm. This time however when we come back up we don't go for the "consolidation" so many of you had argued for in the past. We simply try to take the Championship by keeping the "winning" momentum going with a young team that we will then be in a position to reinforce with further quality signings.
I cant think of one person whos written on here that Proctor "wont make it." Perhaps youve mistaken people saying hes "not ready yet," and youve interpreted it incorrectly.billymacc, many fans have been saying Proctor won't make it. Last night he showed signs that, as I said and as you first told me, he has something. How can you say that Devine, Middleton, Miller and Douglas won't make it when they haven't been given a real chance? I've put Wright down as a possible BUT the problem is he just stopped growing and didn't turn into the 6ft+ centre half the club thought he would.
You should also consider that niether hte reserves nor the youths have played many games since Christmas so I think you are being a little harsh as this next 5 months will be the critical period in making the transition from youths to senior level footballers.

Just not good enough, Wright may be ok at this level though, and we will need to see how young Hayhurst recovers from his injury.
And you make that statement based on what? Howard Kendalls are a rare commidity, so you must have seen young miller on many occasions to make a reasoned judgement on that.If Miller has gone off the boil then the youth team coaches should move heaven and earth to get him back on track because at one stage he was looking very much like the next Howard Kendal.

Billy He's 17/18. Just sometimes you have to protect these kids from themselves and for me that's why a football manager is paid £400K a year. I'm not one of those who accepts norms e.g. there's always a high fall out rate with young players. WHY? and HOW DO YOU REDUCE THAT FALL OUT RATE?
If youth coaches and the manager think they're going to receive their high salaries just for dealing with a bunch of compliant youths who's idea of being naughty is bunking off training to watch "The Sound of Music" then they're wrong. They have to earn it and get these youngsters back on track. Quite a few of us witnessed an outstanding performance by Miller when PNE beat Man.City youths with their £million signings in the FAYC last season. He purred around midfield like a Rolls Royce. He was way above every other player on the park that day. His quick passing was similar in style to Barcelona tonight and he carved the City defence wide open on several occasions. This was no fluke. He is a young talent that we simply cannot afford to lose.
