Of course he had no choice but to send Browne off. Nobody's arguing with that. But Morsy should have gone too - that's where the referee has cocked up, and changed the course of the game. If both sides had been reduced to 10, it would have been a different game and, for once, I would have backed us to get at least a point after going a goal down. Not for me. Neil's team selection was wrong, Storey's mistake an unfortunate one and Browne needs to act his age. The ref has his back turned to the event when it happened so he has to take the fourth's word. Why he doesn't mention the Boro player to the ref I have no idea.
I've reffed, trust me, it's tough going. Petitions to get rid of people are pathetic.

Not just for tonight, he gave West Brom the penalty that wasn’t last season. 🙁

he booked eight on his last appearance at Boro and let Warnock dictate the game - nothing changes it seems.
Booked none tonight and Warnock didn't have to do a thing all evening, just watch us implode. What would you have done when the fourth official tells you Browne lashed out at a player behind your back?
I honestly don't think he'll get a bad write up for that performance from the assessor.

But he didn't see any of it, it was all the fourth official who has fucked up. You lot would be better signing a petition to get VAR installed in the championship as that would probably have sorted it last night. Didn't think the ref himself was particularly bad last night.
Sorry but I totally disagree, he all but came out with a boro shirt on. What about the Mulumby yellow then?Booked none tonight and Warnock didn't have to do a thing all evening, just watch us implode. This is exactly the sort of world-injustice the directors of Change.org must have had in mind when they set it up.
🤔
I think it was Fisher who was booked not MolumbySorry but I totally disagree, he all but came out with a boro shirt on. What about the Mulumby yellow then?
They both were in separate incidents.I think it was Fisher who was booked not Molumby
It was Fishers first booking since his move. Does that tell you that fisher has changed his game or that refs are more lenient to 'professional' play by borough players or neither?
so at first lance you saw and penalty and the wrong player dive? it wasnt Austin....To be fair at first glance it looked a pen from the town end, the ref looking from a similar angle could have thought their was contact. The blame should go to Austin for the dive more than anything.
pics showed the ref was right behind the action...
just like last night he saw what he wanted to see.....

AN’s post match account of his own red card, if true, makes the ref sound an arrogant k**b. I tend to largely believe AN on this one.
Surprised no charge for Morsy today. I expected a retrospective red would be in the offing.

Don't you remember the red Ayala got rescinded?AN’s post match account of his own red card, if true, makes the ref sound an arrogant k**b. I tend to largely believe AN on this one.

I have forgotten the detail- but remember being astounded.Don't you remember the red Ayala got rescinded?
Whoever it was yeah it looked like a pen. The ref was behind the player and ball, the only angle that showed a clear dive was the reverse from in front of the BSK.so at first lance you saw and penalty and the wrong player dive? it wasnt Austin....

The ref was bad against Boro but calling him a cheat is a stretch because he got a couple of things wrong. Possibly sour grapes because you were desperate to tell us all we’re wrong about Alex?
see the Wycombe highlights last night on quest? ainsworth on pitch at half time to complain to ref about soft penalty.....not carded ?????
The ref has poor form v pne for whatever reason

First game officiating Preston for Thomas Bramhall this weekend.
Actually the first game he will have officiated at Championship level. Third year as an EFL official.

Can that happen when one of the match officials supposedly saw the incident ?AN’s post match account of his own red card, if true, makes the ref sound an arrogant k**b. I tend to largely believe AN on this one.
