Wonder how many apologies we've had from referees this season?

I dont know about this but i do remember this from last season

Lowe and Hemmings have both said we had plenty of apologies - they attributed the loss of points to some of them. Obviously that was complete and utter nonsense (if a decision changes in the 40th minute of a game (for example) the rest of the game doesn’t play out the same). However, this article highlights what I said when this was used as an excuse for Lowe - all clubs are impacted by refereeing mistakes.

The worst this season so fatwas that Good Goal of ours at Turf Moor .
I hope he never comes to Deepdale, for his sakes.

Until there’s proper consequences for referees nothing will change. Being demoted a league for one or two weeks won’t change anything. When a ref is as poor as last night they should be taken out of the professional game until they can prove they are good enough to return. Maybe have a 3 strikes and your out for good rule.

I’m not talking about getting some decisions wrong, they are all human, I’m talking about those like last night where it goes far beyond poor.

There wouldn't be any left if you did that.

I think what separates the good referees from the bad ones is the time they take to make a decision.

Quite often, the good referees will see an action, and then can take three or four seconds to blow and give a decision.

The bums, like last night, make their decision too quickly and then, obviously, once they have said no (often with their arms), they can't go back on it (even if they realise two seconds later that it was a definite penalty).

And if the manager complains about the refs he gets fined .
Heckingbottom will be fined and probably get a touchline bad, while the referee will face no concenquences and will be reffing another game at the weekend, i touhght bringing in professional referees was supposed to have improved refereeing, but has anything actually improved since the semi pro refs of the 90s?

Abdul Fatawu also going on social media to complain.

Hopefully we're in touch with Leicester about it. It would be beneficial to have two clubs complain and not just us

Friday nights ref is Farai Hallam, his only game refereeing us was against Stoke at home last April. He awarded Stoke an extremely soft penalty if I remember correctly. What odds on Sheff Utd getting a penalty on Friday night!

I agree with all that last night’s officiating (not just the referee) but both linesman in my opinion were poor. Well in truth beyond poor, it is utterly disgusting that he walks into another game at this level after last nights performance.
But, players do not help decisions, the constant, grappling, shirt pulling, arm pulling, play acting, ( the likes of Oliver Reed would be proud of ) do not help, they make the job much harder. I’m not making excuses for that buffoon’s performance last night but modern day football really does test my patience.

I’ve no doubt heckybum will be fined for his comments, I just hope last night’s official is sacked! But we all know that’s not going to happen
