Referee watch

Excellent tonight, bar the odd minor cockup which is to be expected. Refereed with a great deal of calmness and respect from the players. Polar opposite from the clown on Tuesday

Farai Hallam. Great referee tonight. Might have had dubious decision against us vs stoke last year- but he controlled the game with calm authority tonight. Let the game flow - and didn’t fall for Danny Ings swallow dive right at the end. Chalk and cheese between the officiating on Tuesday night
Couldn't disagree more, another ref that could have cost us another game. The basic and game defining decisions are being missed week in, week out.

Not bad. A bit card happy though. Better than the last two we have had the misfortune to encounter.
Can’t agree with that. All of our yellows were very fair. Odel was late and out of control, Thor stopped an attack in a dangerous area and Armstrong was so late he was still playing Birmingham. Storey kicked the ball away.

What did he get wrong that could’ve cost us? The “handball” in the first half in the box wasn’t a handball because Jebbison pushed McGuiness causing it to hit his hand, and the handball in the run up to the goal doesn’t get given by any ref because he’s so close to the ball when it ricochets off. Wasn’t duped by Ings last minute dive either.

He’ll get a high rating by both clubs and his assessor

Blatant handball! Absolute stone waller! Confirmed by TV and sat literally right infront of the incident. Zero consistency.

Surely the blatant handball was the equally blatant push so incorrectly not given? Each of our cautions was deserved, I honestly can’t think of anything the bloke got badly wrong.
The handball shout in the buildup did look like handball on iFollow, but tbh it was 10X less obvious than any of the horrendous calls on Tuesday. Good ref—more of the same please.

I saw a replay briefly before I went to bed and I’d say it wasn’t handball. It ricocheted onto his arm and his arm was by his side, just weak from Whiteman and Hughes ( I think). If we're talking about their second goal.

Same referee we had for our home defeat at Birmingham . Clearly he thinks his route to premier officialdom is by supposingly ‘favouring ’ the more moneyed sides.
Was never going to award a penalty for Preston today -
And too much Wrexham pulling of shirts

Never trust a referee with dyed hair -
Leave it with you all….

Not welcome back on these 2 performances

I slowed it down and it looks like chest to myself.
I'd certainly like to see another angle of it as it could be chest or arm. That wasn't the one all the players appealed for though. It was this one.

Interesting that no comment from Hecky about any penalty decisions which suggests to me he didn't think we should have one. Or maybe no comment due to the FA charge.

That one is never a pen for me. Arm down by his side, totally natural position.

He’s a prick. Booed him before the match, absolutely useless and another who thinks the supporters come to watch him. Really pissed me off today when he told their keeper 6 or 7 times to get on with it, then booked him on the hour. After this, he didn’t give a single moment of thought to the fact the keeper continued to waste time after this and thought he had done his job by booking him. Patronised the players with his attitude and gestures. Compare this with the way the guy (Blackstone) referred the game with Hull/Boro last night. Spoke to the players. Smiled and explained his thoughts to them.

This lad today was just as bad as I expected him to be. Tool.
