Confirmed Robbie Brady signs New 2 Year Contract.

anyone seen the penalty shout? Thought he’d done the hard work and then stupidly swung an arm and grappled him after the fact

I was 50/50 on it

Not for me. Better than usual though. Agree with @Pennyhome, he was culpable for the injury to Hughes.
My preference would be to give young Seary a go but, we should have signed a decent right back/wing back in the summer. Not, with the benefit of hindsight, Ramsey.
Millar, although he scored, isn't as potent on the right.
It isn't really hindsight though. We knew he was still recovering from a bad injury but signed him nevertheless.

Have a soft spot for Brady. Think it’s because of the period of booing he’d get when coming on as sub, made me rally with him more.

Although, in the nicest possible way, I think he’s just not a full deck. Like that Homer Simpson meme with the monkey in his head crashing the symbols.

Plenty of ability but then just passes it 5 yards to nobody, does an unnecessary little dummy when no one is around him.

Played well enough last night though

All Hail King Brady

Forss cut inside, ball rolled further than he expected so grabbed Brady to try and make it look like he’d been knocked over by him. Should’ve been booked
That Forss was quite snide last night. Left a bit on Cunningham a few times and was it him who cleared our Browne with a late shoulder in the 2nd half?

Think he also slightly left a foot in on Woodman as well when he came to claim a through ball. Little cunt. Was he the one getting all aggy right at the end, shoving the ball into Brady’s midriff to try to get him to hurry up taking a throw?

Clattered Hughes, left one on Greg, and left his leg hanging deliberately when Freddie took the ball off him to try and catch him on the way through. Also flicked Brady’s chin with the ball when Brady was taking it off him towards the end

Think Browne was McGree

On another note.I am pretty sure Forrs didn’t get a card last night. How not is beyond me. The challenge that put Hughes out of the game was naughty and he “left one in” on Woodman and a couple of others. Nasty sh*t. Brady had a decent games last night

Not a lot wrong with Brady’s performance last night. Given the nature of the game and the conditions he did a good job. More will be needed on other occasions but for last night he was reet.

The referee told Sam Greenwood he was on his last chance around minute 27

He then proceeded to make 4 more fouls before being substituted and wasn’t booked

It was McGree who tried to hurry Brady along with the throw, and he got booked for his trouble. McGree was also involved when, with Browne in possession in a promising situation, he was on the verge of kicking the ball out of play to allow treatment for an injured 'Boro player, not a head injury either.
The odious twat that is McGree, dispossessed Browne, and disregarding his injured team mate, attempted to set up a 'Boro counter attack.

He had good spells last night but nearly gave a short back pass to Freddie cos he didn’t look across and was lucky not to get a yellow card when he threw one of their players to the ground it would not have been out of place on WWE.

If asked to do only the simple things, Brady can still be effective. But, he's often petulant in the tackle and lackadaisical in his passing. Which as you point out, we saw again last night.

Numerous times he found himself lost upfield allowing Boro to have a free run due that side of the pitch. We were fortunate Cunningham had a good game to mop things up in behind.

HIs pass completion rate last night is listed at 58%. Only 24 passes completed out of 41 attempts. Which for the wingback role is poor.

I think we have set the bar so, so low for some of these players; that very average displays (for most other championship players) are ranked as "man of match" worthy here.

Some dimwit behind me clearly a Brady hater. Quiet most of the game, but took the ‘penalty’ incident to fly into him, and then with 10 minutes to go, Brady picked the ball up on the left, looked up to see if there were men in the box, and attempted to get the cross in (which was blocked). ‘For fucks sake Brady why not run at him’. Yeah ok, 80+ minutes in, on a heavy pitch, been up and down for 90 minutes, of course he’s going to have loads left in the tank for sprints with acceleration! I despair.
There will always be terrace warriors who like to gob off , I’ve got one just in front of me in the Town End - no, not you @Joanpne 😂

That was out of order and resulted in McCann (I think) getting booked for pulling a shirt. The ref should have booked the boro player for unsporting conduct-if that's still a thing?
They had another one go down injured, ref allowed play to go on, then spotted the boro player was hurt, then decided it was a foul and booked Browne.
He also missed loads of pushes and pulls by the boro players but blew for every one of ours.
