Three questions.

1. How much did we pay for him ?
2. Have you already cashed the cheque ?
3. How much will it cost us to pay you to take him back ?

Don't know the first 2 but will swap you for Keith Treacy on the 3rd.

From the tone of your question....

1. too much
2. we probably went to moneyshop.com on the day the cheque arrived.. to turn it into instant cash to stop us going bankrupt.
3. We'll take him back for nothing... if you can throw in Cort and a decent left back.
... oh and a left winger to play when Wallace has got himself suspended again.

Must say, he blew hot and cold for us. He was brilliant when on loan. but deteriorated when he signed permanently. Maybe a motivation thing. Can be top class on free kicks... but I wasn't sorry to see him go for the money. Especially when we bought Keith Treacy from Rovers. Things don't seem to working out there for us either!

The common theme here is that many players now just turn up and play when they feel like it. When you have true professionals in your squad that put it in week in and week out no matter what their form and dont want to go, you pay them their worth and keep them. Our biggest folly has been moving out Alexander, McKenna, Mawene for peanuts and why we're now left with a squad with no backbone.

Good post, we hava manged to accumalate a whole squad of turn up when you want pro's, bar maybe Billy Jones.

Can't say we didn't warn you. Apart from 5 or 6 free kicks per season, he does next to fuck all. Treacy is five times the player, just a shame he's a total waster off the pitch.

Well I liked Ross Wallace and would have him back in heartbeat. Maybe he just doesn't like the dingles like the rest of us.😛

This is a joke right?

Admittedly Wallace did blow hot and cold, couldn't defend and often got booked for daft things but overall I think we have missed him since we cashed in. He was one of those players who could geniually turn a game around with glimpses of brilliance.

Treacy is a very similar type of player but not the type we need in a relegation dogfight, to say he 5 times the player of Wallace is crazy. Apart from Burnley away, what has Treacy done since we've signed him?

Scunthorpe screamer won 3-2 that kept us up.

Bradford screamer won 2-1 got us to the next round.

Palace screamer won 4-3 technically won us the game
