Another abysmal performance at the Hawthorns and a season that ends in mid table mediocrity again. The club just doesnt move froward and as for the manager, well I have no confidence in him. Doesnt seem to have a plan B, and the tactics (especially away from home) are dreadful.
Same old same old.
The whole club doesn’t even have a plan A so I’m not surprised the Manager is bereft of plans it’s the nature of the club.Another abysmal performance at the Hawthorns and a season that ends in mid table mediocrity again. Craig HEMMINGS needs to be ruthless and if he has any ambition to get us into the premiership then he needs to relieve Ryan Lowe of his duties now so that the new man can sort things out. RL has tried but ultimately failed and he has lost the majority of the fan base which is crucial in going forward. We will all renew but in the hope that RL goes sooner rather than later. Chairmen, managers, and players all go but the fans remain.

I know a mid table finish constantly is frustrating, but without wanting to speak on behalf of the forum, I think it would be much more acceptable if we were to finish 10th by taking the game to the opposition, playing a decent brand of football, and not having got 43 points from our last 37 games. Would that be fair to say?
I agree. I can live with whatever placing we finish with IF the team looks competitive every match. Under Lowe, we simply don't.I know a mid table finish constantly is frustrating, but without wanting to speak on behalf of the forum, I think it would be much more acceptable if we were to finish 10th by taking the game to the opposition, playing a decent brand of football, and not having got 43 points from our last 37 games. Are we not past the stage of consolidating our position in this division now?
I really can't be doing with this 10th is acceptable stuff anymore.
We seriously need to lose this mentality

Spot on. People forget how competitive the championship is. There’s no embarrassment to finishing midtable - there is an embarrassment in being the worst team most fanbases have seen at their place all seasonI know a mid table finish constantly is frustrating, but without wanting to speak on behalf of the forum, I think it would be much more acceptable if we were to finish 10th by taking the game to the opposition, playing a decent brand of football, and not having got 43 points from our last 37 games. Lowe has to go. He picks and chooses his stats. Here’s one - Last 12 games we scored 9 goals - 7 against Rotherham and Huddersfield. That’s 2 goals in 10 games. Nowhere near good enough. A bit more attacking intent and we would be in the play offs. This is his side, his tactics, he’s been backed more than anyone else. Time to go

That was my thought when we appointed Lowe instead of McAvoy. Would rather have the gung-ho attacking football with loads of missed chances we were promised that maybe wins 2 games in 6 with a draw or two, than set up for a dour, stifled 0-0 every game and hope nick a win from a set piece. We'd still end up midtable but would at least be fun.
But now The Brand™️ has been ditched for a return to safety first Frankieball...
Wonder what the difference in wages is for the same end product?
Well no not really.

I agree, we have been in this division long enough now to have had a lot stronger squad than we have. We should have been in the play offs by now and I personally don't see that happening whilst we have the advisor and Lowe with us. Craig Hemmings needs to take more control of his families business and realise that both the above have lost the majority of support from the fans.

Bananarama & Fun Boy Three 1982I suppose the moral of this thread is ‘it’s not what you do, it’s how you do it!’
It’s the Promises and Lies (UB40 1993) that piss me off.
And that what get's results,I suppose the moral of this thread is ‘it’s not what you do, it’s how you do it!’
Sorry doesn't quite work, but I couldn't help singing Bananarama when I read that!
And then @prestonmadhouse beat me to it.
It's not going to be a good day
And in those 12 games, we only scored in the second half in two of them. Stoke and Huddersfield.Lowe has to go. He picks and chooses his stats. Well firstly, I said 'more acceptable'.Well no not really.

Secondly, if finishing 10th isn't acceptable, what is? Would you say anything outside of the Top 6 is 'unacceptable'?
I think we should've done much better this year, and I want the manager to leave. But that's for many reasons other than the fact we finished 10th.
Exactly….I suppose the moral of this thread is ‘it’s not what you do, it’s how you do it!’

After nearly 10 years of being here an finishing pretty much mid table barring 1 season, with a club that have endlessly bollocked on about wanting to reach the top flight, then yes.Well firstly, I said 'more acceptable'.

I was hearing that RL is trying to sort a deal for Woodburn over 12 months, I hope this is wrong.
It's not the ideal scenario (obviously) but i would rather finish 10th playing decent attractive Football than finish 10th playing the dire turgid stuff we regularly see.I know a mid table finish constantly is frustrating, but without wanting to speak on behalf of the forum, I think it would be much more acceptable if we were to finish 10th by taking the game to the opposition, playing a decent brand of football, and not having got 43 points from our last 37 games. The only way the dire turgid stuff is even remotely acceptable is if playing that way actually gets us promoted.
