thats a good point, who was the last dingle to play for England?
Would it be Ralph Coates?
Oh dear....
I take it you don't know either then 🙄

Former Preston players in the Premier League are Nash, Alexander, Nugent, Etuhu, Healy, Cresswell, Fuller, Pugh, Kilbane. Macken, Davis, Lewis, Lucketti, Gregan, Appleton have also left us and gone on to play Premier League football.
A lot of them may not have set the world a light, but Nugent played in an FA Cup Final and has a winners medal. Alan Shearer never got one of those!!
I take it you don't know either then 🙄
Gregan? Which premier league club is he at?
There have been very few to be fair. But if we are looking for meaningless facts (such as the bizarre inclusion of Nugent in the England squad and his pointless stealing of a goal) then who was the last player to have played for PNE to be part of an England (or indeed any nations) winning world cup squad? Pointless, meaningless stats. Clearly the green eyed monster is already taking over.
My oh dear is at the terrible, tedius argument. Embarrassing.
What is embarrassing is that 2 fans from a rival club, who have just won promotion to the Premier League are spending the Tuesday afternoon (during brilliant weather), on a Preston North End Website!
Ah, so its not current players, its just players from any time who have played in the Prem?
I'm bored at work, stuck in an office enjoying watching people like you thrash about for reasons to live now Burnley are in the premier league. Sad and shallow that may make me but it is still a great deal of fun.
My Dad's bigger than yours.

You may mock but the evidence is on post after post on this board.....

So from that list you have Nugent who got a winners medal by riding on the shirt tails of better players and then what? So back to my original point, I can't think of any player you have sold either to a Prem club or a club who subsequently got promoted who has done anything of note. That list proves my point. From that there is only really Fuller who I would have liked us to have signed.

For the record and back on point, St Ledger is a decent championship defender who may have enough ability to play mid table in the Prem. If we were to pay over 2.5 million for him I would be very disapointed - and in my opinion any team who does pay the sort of figures you guys are talking about are being taken to the cleaners.
Just like you've racked up 364 posts on this board. I know banter is banter, but when you've posted more than some PNE fans on their board, its got a bit obsesive.
Erm, thats in nearly 5 years my friend - hardly prolific is it?
I still don't think he is worth anywhere near 4 million - and if the bid is fom the baggies then I'm even more amazed, it was up front where they fell majorly short last season.
St Ledger is easily worth £4 million if not more. He is one of the best in the Championship. With a couple of seasons in the Prem he could be the next John Terry as his style of play is very similar. He's now an international. And there are more than 3 interested parties which also inflates the price.
