When you turn up for an interview, don't park in the Interviewers parking space then sit at their desk. You stand a much better chance at getting the job following that advice.

I suppose that is quite good general advice, but as an analogy, you've lost me there.

What are the rules governing moderator behaviour ref their own day-to-day posting?

Is this an area that needs to be clarified and tightened up?

I would have thought that a moderator (who after all has voluntarily put themselves forward) should have to sign up to a code of conduct which sits above that of a basic member, and which surely must (now) preclude involvement in personal battles such as the like we have seen over the last few months.

It is made clear to new Mods that they are ALSO posters on the forum..and are still here to `have fun` and be themselves.

Quite rightly.


Apart from that..there are no specific rules I know of. And perhaps that is quite right too...the mods are elected by the paying patrons to represent them... and to have their posts subject to Admin scrutiny and rules could be dangerous, imo.

In short...the forum relies on a) the forum to make good choices when voting and b) the moderators to moderate themselves, by avoiding setting a bad example for others.

Makes me laugh how WIBG, Mossy and Bullymac come on here crying at the first bit of abuse they get thrown their way, looks like they don't like the taste of their own medicine.

WIBG is a Wind Up Merchant clear to see when he puts the Voice of PNE Online on his posts.

Bullymac uses excess language and angry posts to bully people into submission, will never happen with me Billy so might as well stop now.

Mossy, followed me around commenting on all my posts after I said I had watched Tyrias Browning play constantly referring back to it and crying when I wouldn't say I didn't watch him play.

You three are the biggest hypocrites going.

The adults are talking here, not Football Manager computer game geeks.

I'm sure there is a stat about some player you claim to have seen somewhere to be found.

Honest question, without any abuse thrown at you, "Why did you feel the need to insult the guys organising Gentry day by suggesting theyre on a power trip?" Thats what this anger iin me, right now is about.

Edit: Having read the rest of this thread, as he agrees with your stance, let me put the same question to Bill aswell.

As i see it a group of people work hard, in the background, to organise something that is quite unique. they do it in their own time, freely without charge, and yet some choose, for whatever reason, to throw insults at them. Now I may be wrong but to me it seems the only bullying, if bullying it even is, is being done by people throwing insults at the very people that least deserve them. ie The people organising something for the benefit of ALL PNE fans.

Hence my angst.

Ron I think you will find that the 3 posters you mention would all say to anyones face exactly what they post in here, so how can we/they be hypocrites, unlike you who spouts utter drivel and when challenged re the truth hides.

Swearing is allowed in here so no rules are broken, one line abuse always sails close to a telling off though.

Ron you are just a soft arse and probably a bit of a fantasist too, grow a pair instead of moaning ffs.

I'm being nice to you Ron!

You've not been the same since you stated that lad from Everton was a good player as you'd seen him play for them lots of times, when in fact he'd only ever played 30 Mins.

Now that's OK Ron because everyone has forgotten about it.
 
And, in fairness to Billymac, at least hes actually addressed the issue that has made me angry, I dont agree with his stance but at least hes made a comment on it. Seems that others have avoided the issue and have different agendas, fair enough, i guess.
