I have taken an interest in this forum the past 12 months and have been posting regularly because I enjoyed it but now can see why many people have signed off from here because you are subjected to attacks because you voice your opinion.

Is this true Ron as you have been a member in your present username for 3 years and prior to this what was your username??

I was simply asking, I won't next time if it upsets you so.

Nothing upsets me.

I don't think that there is any need for the personal and vile abuse that is directed towards me, or indeed the bullying, but it doesn't upset me.

But cheers for your concern Ron.

There are four posters here who should be looking at what they have done over the past months in my opinion.

I think that some of the treatment of Nobber has been shocking, but in turn Nobber did go beyond reasonable reaction. All parties were rightly dealt with. Then things have kept going, so all parties in that have to share the blame.

Now we have moderators openly stating they have issues with posters that were recently infracted.

My personal opinion (not as a moderator) is that it is completely unacceptable for moderators to continually go after posters or reveal that they have issues with another individual. I think that sort of thing crosses a line and should be dealt with.

As a moderator mine is one voice in a rightly democratic system, and this post is in line with what I have said on the issue.

I dont believe anyone should get an infraction, I said my piece to WIBG because I believe he was bang out of order with a comment. It was purely between myself and him. Ive said what I think and for me its done. I have no idea why on earth WIBG should get an infraction for that shinny? Grown people do have rows, shinny, its life. Then they move on.

Ok you have a very fair point, but sometimes you bring it upon yourself with your constant anti-establishment agendas.

I'm not condoning it in anyway but if there was a bit more maturity and thinking before you post these problems wouldn't arise.

WIBG got his the other week, I do not think he needs another one.

Can you expand on this please Ron?

I'm intrigued to know exactly what I've said that makes it right in your eyes for some of the abuse that's thrown me way that's all.

It has occurred to me on occasion that if mods had the ability to differentiate easily between mod posts and personal posts many problems would be avoided.
Like you, I made the distinction on occasion.

Did I say I said it was right? No, I said you bring it upon yourself and I stated that I don't condone it but I'm not going to stick up for you because you get upset because someone gives you a dose of your own medicine.

Have you ever seriously felt abused?

Straight question, btw.

I'm off to bed now.

Oh, before I go, I took Mossy off ignore as I knew he would be calling me. 22 personal counts of abuse against me on this thread alone, yet I'm the bully??? The forum WUMs don't like it do they.

What a twat.

Is talking about people's infractions on the forum allowed?

I believe it is, especially when the poster themselves has openly said they were infracted.

If it was not public knowledge, and did not appear in their user profile, then I think it is a different matter.

I find that differentiation quite simple, really. In the forum I post as raefil. On very few occasions Ive posted as a mod and post in a different font and colour. In the mod forum I post as a mod. I havent, ever, changed my posting style for the reason that Im a moderator. I dont, and wont, shirk away from controversial topics, as can be sen in the news threads etc.

So suggesting I have mental health problems, saying that they hope a blood test that I've gone for comes back positive, having personal details posted on the forum, making a post about my wife, continually have foul and abusive posts directed my way and posting abuse towards me on already closed threads is all my own fault because some people get wound up by my posts?

if someone uses their real name in here with others and its public knowledge........ Hmmmmm night!!

6p, with the present makeup of the mod/senior/admin's it is very hard to be democratic with so few voted on to do a job, 6 out of the 11 are here whatever happens, 2 of the 5 elected will not stand down leaving imho only 3 who can be relied upon (you being one) and given recent posts perhaps there should be cause for concern re impartiality.

There should be at the very least 7/8 elected mods and the max term they can stand without a break should be no more than 18 months, senior mods should have to be elected every 3 years and should be nominated by the admins only as they are their eyes and ears and have to be trusted and completely impartial.

With 7/8 mods I think more will stand as it will be less of a popularity contest, mods breaking rules should be yellow carded for say 1 month or replaced by the next in line in the previous vote permanently.

Free loaders (non patrons) should be limited to a max of 10 posts per week and if they want to get more involved simply pay the £5.50 required, new members should not be allowed to start threads in their first month and so on. If we only have what we are offered nothing will improve.

Yes.

I think some of things posted in my direction have overstepped the mark. But apparently because I refer to Manchester United as 'Manchester' I deserve it.

I believe you started the abuse when you spoke about one mod and his mental illness and then threatened to turn up at anothers daughters football match.

I don't know the story and I don't care, what you have stated is unacceptable if that has been levied your way but what I am saying is if you didn't post and act the way you do, very anti-establishment, then maybe you wouldn't come in for this flak.

I'm a big believer in that for every action there is a reaction, I'm sure in their senior position on here the Mods won't have attacked you if you hadn't attacked first.

If you poke the hornets nest expect to get stung.
