Its now late tues afternoon as yet still no sign of any signings (loan or perm) don't know whether it's me but i'm getting a bit frustrated at the lack of activity on the transfer front. I know it probably won't be without a lack of effort from the management team but we really do need a bit more quality in the team before the end of the transfer window. Also new players need time on the training ground to bed in & get to know the current players. We are approaching the most important stage of PNE season & come this time next month we will know in which direction our beloved club will be going.
 
im getting a bit worried because i expected at least 2 signings last week and not even any sign of anything yet! we definately need at least 2 in before saturdays massive game, im confident of a deal being done by tomorrow though....fingers crossed
 
I hope im wrong but the signs are that there isin't going to be any, but if their is one consolation is that Phil Brown as labled the trialist a joke and an embarresment to PNE after their performancce aginst Burnley in the behind close doors friendly recntly! so hopefully Maurice imports have come to an end and he can let Phil Brown (who must have more contacts in the game than Maurice) get on with the job of identifying who he wants to bring to our football club!

Is it not permanent transfers only that have to be completed during the transfer window? Last year we could loan players from England until mid to late March. I agree that we need players in urgently though.
 
your right mate we can still bring in loan players after the deadline and hopefully they will let Phil bring the men he wants into the club

Why do you say that? Brian Horton said on Saturday that we were at least 3 players short and that he was hoping to get 2 in early this week. "Early" has probably passed admittedly. It sounds as though we have got Cort until the end of the season too.
 
whats that got to do with waht were talking about mate. Can you not mention the chairman name on here or question anything he does. At least theirs not a Maurice poll on here every week. Mindblowing
 
rem the other lads are saying the same show me the signs. Theirs just nothing going on like i said i hope im worong but do you hear anything going on mate?
 
Not to sure but if we are still trying to sign players mid to late march we will be down because our current squad is not good enough, for what we make up in commitment & effort we lack in quality.

Frustrating but that's how these transfer deadlines work.
Agents advise their clients to hold on til late in the day to try and get a better deal.
There are not many deals being done at the moment anyway, but 90% of the deals will be done on the last day. Agents will also advise their clients not to panic if a loan is being considered because they can be arranged up to March anyway.
Just doesn't help us I know.
 
The lack of any rumours is depressing to be honest.
If they don't bring in a few quality players we are down as the squad just isn't big enough and certainly not good enough.
