Road opened over an hour ago. Hopefully the person involved is getting help.Ffs.....this is getting to be sheer incompetence and almost a devil may care attitude towards shutting off the m6 around here..causes untold misery for thousands on a regular basis
Ridiculous state of affairs....be late for work now
I think in this instance it was justified….Ffs.....this is getting to be sheer incompetence and almost a devil may care attitude towards shutting off the m6 around here..causes untold misery for thousands on a regular basis

Someone was threatening to jump off the motorway bridge at Leyland
I think in this instance it was justified….

Gladly it was open again by 5 am and the person is safe.
It must be a 'recognised' way of getting a short cut to much-needed medical and secure help & assistance. Perhaps the authorities shouldn't publicise these types of 'Cry for help' so much (?)I think in this instance it was justified….

I only hope the person gets the help they need, but when officially 'at low risk' and hopefully now with employment - would they get an 'attachment of earnings'....the bill for all the delays & public services involvement will be in the tens of thousands.

We have a whole section, on here, dedicated to mental health in no small part because this forum lost a prominent member to suicide. It must be a 'recognised' way of getting a short cut to much-needed medical and secure help & assistance. Martin was a very close family friend, a very hard working lad, Everton fan but he also gave up the majority his spare time to coach football to young people.First name - Mick.
He was the most happy go lucky person that anyone would ever meet, my then very young daughters literally worshipped the ground he walked on.
When news came through that hed walked in front of the train it was something that none of us could come to terms with, we probably still havent. He left behind a gorgeous wife and 2 lovely young daughters.
To this day nobody knows why.
Mental illness can hit any of us, any time, very suddenly and nobody understands reasonings in such a troubled mind.
Noel, you are a poster I respect, on here, but TBH that comment was crass and surprising coming from you.

People who want to commit suicide and those desperate for help don't think logically. It's absolutely not cold and calculated as you are suggesting.
FWIW, my daughter suffers from serious mentall health issues.
