Get mills done, bring in esse, would accept ogbene too as a backup alongside them with small and Lang options on the wing too.

Still need another CDM to replace whiteman - smallbone would be good, even a loan with bajcetic if that is an option. Both if we can push it. As I think both revitalises the midfield a bit.

Then a cb - wonder if we continue the Ross interest.

and probably a full back and striker.

Wouldn’t mind some more outgoings too, with Lindsay. Would rather move Hughes in as a Gibson backup and emergency lb and bring in the likes of cirkin or similar caliber to compete with Andy.
 
I was genuinely quite optimistic about this season.
The takeover, pitch and Devine signing which I still think are /were connected but the closer we get to the game vs Bolton, the less optimistic I'm feeling.
I still believe as I was told that the IOM didn't pay for the pitch and there's not a snowflakes chance in Hell they sanctioned the Devine deal but the silence on the takeover is now deafening. They need to stop taking us for mugs and one way or another come out and make some kind of meaningful statement.

Even if you're right, the starting eleven will be meeting each other for the first time on the pitch.

In any case, nobody actually believes these snippets that come out anymore. We hope them to be true, but expect them to be Ridsdale narrative controls.
 
If Hecky wants an Armstrong replacement after his comments yesterday, Trey Nyoni could be a very good option for a loan.

He's been away with Liverpool for the pre season tour but he's young and has been linked with a potential move to the championship already.

Devine deal has been spread over a number of years. We have paid about £2m so far Zedan will pick up the rest.
Pitch hasn’t come out of the budget.
We have 6 players off the wage bill. Soon to be 7 so there’s money there
About to pocket money for Whiteman
There’s more money then people think we have.

But yet we are fucking about waiting till the start of the season to get them in ? (If we do get them in)

Interesting yesterday when the stadium announcer spoke to Ben Hinchcliffe and opened with "Not often these days a player has 10 years at one club". Our back three are all approaching their individual testimonial years, and all three have been the regular starters in that time. Shocking really.

Delays due to the World Cup and teams been on tour abroad. Prem clubs holding onto their young players because first team players on extended breaks. Free agents now more willing to find clubs as they are not getting paid
Movement will happen these next two weeks. Not just us but across the EFL.

For someone the fans very often moan about, floated corners, crosses, etc, not being captain material, answer so on, if this is pulled off I think that this is excellent business given he could have left for nothing next summer and we’d receive more than I ever thought we’d get for him.

Given he is coming towards the end of his playing career I wish him all the best and believe that some on here are treating him quite unkindly.
