Or have they brought in players to replace him because he intended to leave? Fwiw I still think he's a bit raw, but he's a great profile to develop.
Good point, one year left suggests that could be the case. Could be a frustrating player but hopefully enough potential there for us

This was posted on that Pebbleleague forum site @in Lasher Land posted about the other day and this is what was said:

"A bit of agent work going on here, but Abu Kamara is available for a permanent departure following Hull City’s promotion. Portsmouth have been working for weeks on this deal, and are struggling to get it done. Charlton made an offer that was satisfactory to Hull, but not the agent - so the reports say. Believe £2.5m is the rough number to get it done, an interesting development."
Concerns myself that it is only the struggling clubs - Charlton, Pompy and ourselves - that are in for him.

Raises my Red Flag, even more so at £2.5m.

Two in, you say?

If Charlton are happy to let him go by bringing in not one but two players in his position, is he the answer for us? Looks quick and tricky but questionable end product
He's 22 years old but I don't think he's really had the backing of the fans so is possibly lacking some confidence.

A relatively poor return but he does rank high in the division for chances created and successful crosses and crossing % per90 for his position.

Far from perfect, but he's got some good traits that we'd need and can hopefully try to maximise.

The fact his contract is up next summer, if he's said he won't sign a new deal, then now is the time to sell. Probably why they activated his +1 on his contract so they can sell him.

Classic smokescreen stuff then, probably was a target but then been told no so now we are probably working on signing someone else.
Always makes me laugh. Why the fook do we need to initiating smokescreens… what to fend off L1 clubs.

Cant say I'd be too excited by Campbell. Thought he looked no better than Small in League One & Small has really struggled at times to match up to the technical demands of the league.

Obviously at an age where he's got plenty of time to develop, but given what we've lost in the loanees, I think Campbell is a long way off their standard at present
