If Whiteman leaves - which seems more than likely - we will be six players lighter than we were at the end of last season. If we then bring in two wide attackers and look to fill the other four places the players we would need them to be:

*a mobile right-footed central defender able to play as the right of a central pairing in a back four or if need be on the right of a back three - with Offiah and Valentin on-board we don't need anyone else able to play as right-back in a back four.
*a mobile left-sided defender able to play as either the left of a back three, the left of a central pairing in a back four or if need be as left-back in a back four though I expect Vukcevic to be first choice in that position.
*a creative central midfielder to fill the gap left by Armstrong whose departure in the middle of last season was the fundamental reason for our ensuing slump - without such a player almost any other signings we make will be close to superfluous.
*a striker.

We then really need to see if we can find ways of moving on Potts, Hughes, Lindsay and Thompson. We wouldn't necessarily need direct replacements for the first three of those though presuming Whiteman's departure Thompson would have to be replaced with a ball-winning player to provide back-up for McCann.

I actually spent longer than I want to admit trying to decipher the tweet from @MBcha RE the 'Mills'.. I got Tulketh as 'Mills', Oyston as 'Owen' and couldn't figure out the third.. was trying to figure out the relevance of Barbara Jane Horrocks.. BJ as initials... Silly season ey
 
From what I can gather Campbell is basically just Small but as a left winger.

Not too dissapointed with that in all honesty, wingers are expensive and I suppose we are trying to find the best options out there for us.
