So, just wait a minute; when Phil Brown singles out players for being poor that's an outrage and he's damaging a young player's confidence.

Yet it's okay for the fans to get on his back for miscontrolling the ball ONCE? Yes it could've cost us but Jesus Christ, some of you lot are hypocritical.

We are not the manager though. In any walk of life you get critics and supporters who pay a fee and chose which camp to be in. The manager on the other hand is paid to manage and protect his assets.

I don't see anyone moaning at all. I see people putting their point of view across a lot though, is that not allowed?

Of course people can put there point across but come on, we have just had a superb result at a difficult ground (a ground were no other team has left with 3 points this season) and some peoples first instincts are to come on here and single players out for criticism (Tsoumou, Barton, the managerial changes)

After so many disappointing results recently can we not just enjoy a victory without having to read drivel about how bad some players are?

To be fair, most posts that I have read in the various threads have been positive and complimentary. Views do not cease because we had a good win, and it was a very well thought and fought out win. However, we have had to watch drivel for a long time now so people will be pointing it out for a long time to come unfortunately.

And that is my exact point. I have whinged and moaned about players over the past few weeks and I know one win doesn't make poor players suddenly good players but can we not just have one day of nice posts about how well the lads played yesterday and how well we did to take the 3 points?

Yes, I see what you are saying. Unfortunately though its going to take more than 1 good win to make amends and I suppose people are scared of getting carried away after the PB debacle when season ticket record sales got broken.

We wil have to wait & see if he makes the top three North End worse strikers of all time.

Three that spring to mind that I've had the misfortune to witness are; Erik Meijer, Tony Lormor & David Johnson.

Erik Meijer had an excellent game once away at Watford, Lormor never had a good game. The slowest striker I have ever seen, and to think we swapped the excellent David Reeves for him.

I'll raise you with Balsa boy.

I think that lynch was much worse than Tsoumou though I have only seen the latter play once.

Watford became one of those places we seemed to go to a lot, but I do think I can remember that game. I actually thought Meijers debut showed promise

A heavy touch can happen to anyone, especially on a pitch like that - it was like a cow field in the middle (see Craig Morgan's bobbled clearance at the start of the second half for reference).

I think Tsoumou (yes, that's his name) is more of an instinctive striker. His goals have all been 'fox in the box' type finishes; that will come in extremely useful as we try and chase down a play-off place.

I'd have in in the team over Proctor any day.

+1

Lormor's debut (away at Luton I think) wasn't bad...... 🙂

This lad cannot be classed as a professional footballer. he useless. he is non league standard and would struggle to make longridge towns bench. First touch dreadful, finishing dreadful, passing dreadful, say no more. 4 subs against carlisle please grezza leave him at home.

If you're going to slag the lad off, can I implore (sorry you won't know what that word means), can I ask you to do it in ENGLISH!!!

Tsunami starts with a T, similar to Tsoumou. If he was Tsunami then I suppose the chant would be:-

"Tsunami, give us a wave!"

to the tune of BLue Danube (Blaue Donau) I Implore that this song be sung to the opposing teams and fans:

'Tsoumou scored against you, haha, haha, Tsoumou scored against you, ha ha ha ha'(repeated)

granted it might not be sung all that often, but should give it s go..

Tsoumou put himself about on Saturday but to just about no effect. He is a young raw lad who may or may not eventually be a useful player. One thing he absolutely is not is the sort of back-to-goal player who can be used in a lone striker role. We don't actually have a player who has shown they can play that role, though I think Proctor might. Put Tsoumou upfront with a big mayhem-causing partner - as we did in the draw with Oldham, for instance - and he might to make some progress. If Mellor, Hume and Proctor are all fit for the next match then the first two of those should start with Proctor ready to come on later. Of the four strikers we currently possess Tsoumou is for the moment definitely fourth choice.

He's that shit he scored 5(?) goals this season. At the age of 20.

He tried to control 3 of them but they bounced off his shin and flew into the net.

It's interesting that you make the point about his age as I coach 7 year olds that have a better touch than him. For all those that say his touch will develop in time - it won't. If he hasn't got it by now he never will.

As for the comment that he needs to put on weight? That's all he needs when he's trying to catch the ball for his second touch - a belly full of pies.
