What would it cost for two out and out goal scoring strikers who are a better standard than Riis and Osmajic.........

Now
We get to the real issue and off I go banging on about the premiership again.
To get one we would have to get either luck with a Nugent from the lower leagues and they get very quickly picked up by the premiership teams to gather splinters and the rest are simply expecting too much money
When Fulham smashed the league Mitrovic was on (allegedly) £112k !!!!

We would have to be very lucky to find a lower league diamond again such as Nugent and then it may be a season or so before we are rewarded with the anticipated goals.
Scouring the European leagues lowervdivisions potentially or further a field, may also prove fruitful, have we the scouting links to find these possible hidden gems ?
🤔

We are casting our net further
But again so are the premiership teams. Example - Chelsea have 5 (maybe more) keepers registered on their books. I mean for gods sake - 5 !!!!

This is how I saw it from Keane too. Absolutely should've done better with his first chance, but I thought his all round play was decent. Signs of getting back to last seasons performances. But seems a lot of others disagree.

He was certainly better than he has been in recent games. It looked like he had the touch of Riis in recent matches.

Yeah his appearances after coming back from injury have been very poor. Yesterday looked like a good step in the right direction to get back to last seasons levels. Hopefully carries on that progress.

That is another problem with modern day football, the big clubs do not want to miss out, so will sign up any potential talent. Happy to disgard without the bat of an eye if they feel they won't meet their potential and perceived high standards..🙄

I think Osmajic being moved on to help pay for this January window also has to be a possibility.

Maybe the biting incident didn't go down well with our famously squeamish hierarchy, putting him on the "to be removed ASAP" list?

TBF Hierarchy don't seem too have been overly bothered about morals or ethics when employing the likes of Ridsdale, Evans or Welsh, all of whom are still actively involved in the Club.

I've mentioned this previously on another thread.
Another example of the FA Premier League sucking the life out of lower league football.
THEY sign up the talent that traditionally would have learnt their trade in the lower divisions and worked up the leagues (Nugent)
THEY loan said talent out with lower league clubs paying the wages to develop the players.
THEY sell them on if they don't quite make the top grade keeping the profits.

The L1/L2 clubs finding and developing talent and selling for £300/£500k with a hefty sell on clause are over, unfortunately.

Yeah, I'm not saying they're consistent, or that they aren't a bunch of hypocrites.

But if they take a dislike to a player's antics - e.g. Fisher, Barkhuizen - they are swiftly gone.

I suspect people like Peter and the owners don’t like being told the truth while the likes of Ched and Welsh are just happy being employed so don’t rock the boat and probably tell Peter how great he is at his job

Give osmajic a run of games and I’m sure his value will increase…he should have been ahead of Riis as soon as he returned from his ban

I agree.

An element of rotation but Osmajic predominantly starting.

According to Wikipedia, - that's where he originates.
( It used to be part of Yugoslavia, btw )

Sounds like he had a really good game tonight reading the reactions.

O.K it's only league 1 opposition but nice to see him scoring and wanting to get the club further in the competition.

He needs to be starting most games between now and end of the season. Don't really understand why PH is picking Riis instead when he could be leaving even in a few weeks. Even before the biting stuff he scored the hat trick at Harrogate and still didn't start the next game after that.

Get him and Greenwood combining and getting used to each other's game as they haven't started much together at all this season for a few different reasons.
