Then the question has to be, why would so many have a vendetta against him if he is as good as the club claim?
A very good point Joan.

He will have been and gone are the days of when Trevor used to force the likes of Doyle, Nugent, Pringle etc upon the manager.
Like mentioned there's no proof that we could have pulled out of the Okkells deal and interestingly in books and on podcasts players/managers/owners regularly talk about how transfers have been signed and sealed long before being announced, we've even seen it at Preston especially on X with people confirming signings of being all but done deals days or weeks before being announced.
Unless you're the forum bully who just wants to turn anything and everything into a Ridsdale witch hunt and anything that counters this agenda is simply labelled as "bollocks" without fair and sufficient evidence.
Not that I support Ridsdale in his role but a poster said this and it makes a very fair point "The more people on here target him, the more it looks like a vendetta". If people want someone as entrenched as Ridsdale out they need to be a lot more educated and subtle about it as it just looks like a vendetta at the moment which completely undermines any arguments for his removal.
Joseph Goebbels is credited with supposedlyI'm starting to think that a proportion of our fans have become completely institutionalised in the mindset of the hierarchy.

Dear Mr. Hemmings,
Two years ago, Preston North End supporters raised concerns about the club’s management, from transfer strategy to youth development. Despite this, little has changed.
It’s time for action.
PNE has been labelled the "most boring club in the EFL"¹, a title that is becoming harder to dispute. While we appreciate the Hemmings family’s financial support, the club’s leadership raises serious questions. Why is one person allowed to control key areas of the club’s operations, including player recruitment, media relations, and questionable fan interactions, without proper oversight?
Following the "unacceptable"² end to the 2023/24 EFL Championship season and a lack of decisive summer action, the club’s direction is unclear. We fully support Paul Heckingbottom and Stuart McCall, but they need adequate resources to succeed. Despite calls for reinforcements, the squad remains unbalanced. Our recent high-profile signing—made without a manager in place—highlights the need for better strategic planning, especially given the club’s limited budget.
With half the starting squad out of contract this summer and a history of players leaving for free, the transfer strategy urgently needs a radical overhaul. Financial Fair Play regulations may pose challenges, but creative solutions are achievable with the right leadership.
Supporter groups like PNE Online and PSC collaborate with dedicated club staff to improve the matchday experience. However, this enthusiasm needs to be reflected at the top. The matchday experience continues to decline, and off-field issues—such as outsourced facility contracts and inadequate maintenance of Deepdale—exacerbate the situation.
The current leadership structure requires a new approach. Recruitment, contract management, and the club’s vision need immediate reform. We advocate for fresh ideas and a renewed commitment to Premier League aspirations.
As proud supporters, we stand ready to assist in any capacity.
It’s time to move beyond rhetoric and take concrete steps to revitalise the club.
The future of Preston North End depends on it.

I wonder what function PNE performs for the Hemmings organisation.
They are in no rush to get rid of it despite a total lack of interest in improving it (and Trev had little to no interest in football anyway and was as sentimental as a fucking vase) so it would suggest it is useful to offset debt/tax loophole/something we mortals can't get our heads around.
There's no reason for a bloke who has just inherited a lot of money to keep going with this unless it benefits him in some way. If anything, his involvement stops him just taking his money and moving into the shadows on The Isle of Man.
It's realistic to allow JK etc to gather his/their thoughts for 24 hours.
It does seem to be not just on here now though but even the others on Twitter and Facebook in the comments section have finally turned on him. I think the announcement of finances has been met with widespread 'you're a fucking spinster' apathy, not just on PNE Online (which used to be the exclusive home of Ridsdale hate).
The Okkels deal, whenever it was signed was flawed based on the following things: his position, age, the other issues in the squad (namely defence) and his cost to lack of pedigree outside a weak league.
The Okkels deal is the cherry on top of a decade of shite though. The Bauer deal is the worst thing in recent years. Utterly pathetic.
Look at the turnstiles thread, the 'anyone got a power washer' thread, the fact the fucking speakers no longer function. He's fucked every aspect of his job up. He's shite.
It's not a witch hunt if the person being 'hunted' is bad at every aspect of his overpaid job and we are being sucked into a needless relegation battle.
Completely agree and we do still see some supporters who still defend him completely and I've said earlier there were numerous I were with on Saturday who are in this category, my old man is but I just remind him thats because he gets a response from Peter so feels "special".
Okkells deal not disputing anything you have said but I'd like a bit more information on how he was identified and who wanted him before saying it's a flawed deal and thats not me saying it isn't. Lowe wanted him as WhiteWomble earlier in the thread has said and Okkells was mightily pissed off because Lowe spoke to him and convinced him to come and then ultimately left. I'm not saying that exonerates Peter but I think there's more to the signing than people are assuming that Peter just made the signing.
Agree on the power washer and speakers but can the turnstiles really be levied at him? It's been outsourced to a supplier if it's not working he's been let down by a supplier which I am sure many on here have that's part and parcel of running a business and not directly his fault.
It is a witch-hunt if you say every aspect of his job is bad like mentioned it just looks like a vendetta and dilutes any argument against him and gives him the easiest defence to his overlords by saying it is a witch-hunt.
The man is outdated, overpaid and poor at his job and for that he needs to leave but to say he is bad at every aspect is false.
He's responsible for selecting the supplier and appropriate due diligenceAgree on the power washer and speakers but can the turnstiles really be levied at him? I'm not asking for a full run down. I'm Simply asking the question whether the meeting was productive.
That is what I was told and reported here sometime ago. With the addition that Okkells was well pissed off.
It certainly doesn't exonerate Ridsdale (or Hemmings) as Lowe should have been long gone by that stage.Completely agree and we do still see some supporters who still defend him completely and I've said earlier there were numerous I were with on Saturday who are in this category, my old man is but I just remind him thats because he gets a response from Peter so feels "special".

We await the ransom demand.
