Sheffield Wednesday are closing in on the permanent signing of their loanee right back, Jack Hunt, from Crystal Palace. Fee agreed according to SkySports.

Though we have now got Robinson as well. Given that he is out of contract at the end of this season and we could well sign him and have a fit again May for next season I am not certain we need to sign another striker on a permanent deal. I would be more than happy right now with a loan deal to the end of the season for a Brett Angell type player who could give us some presence upfront and free up Garner to resume being a striker. If Doyle was firing we really would not be having this problem and I am beginning to feel that even without any further incomings both Hugill - who I still think could come good - and Robinson should be preferred to him.
Originally wasn't January the target ? If you are right, we will see very little of Beckford this season, certainly not a sharp, fully match fit one ?
On my devices I've noticed that the transfer list needs updating again with some out goings & possible incomings?
1)Reid is now at Bradford on loan until the summer.

No. 4) deffo needs updating now. Pearson has signed according to LEP.

SG has repeatedly been saying that we have a smallest squad etc & I heard him say it again tonight via a snippet interview on the RL Sports desk,when he commented on Josh Brownhill loan move. So should we still be expecting more signings to be made after the new striker & Grimshaw signings?
Given his comments about the lack of a natural right winger following Humphrey's injury, a RW perhaps ?
Agree, but maybe Robinson is that RW?
Possibly, but he's always played on the left for us and isn't really a natural right sided player.

Bristol City are in absolute turmoil at the moment. If there is anyone there who could strengthen our squad we should strike now......................Aiden Flint maybe.

My bad, I thought they loved him. We should still be scouring over theirs and Boltons squad with a view to taking anyone who we fancy.
Bristol City have said they'll have no manager in place until at least a week on Saturday, so this transfer window could well determine their championship survival.
Amazing to think that they are the ones who stormed League 1.

Ayling has always looked better to me and would fit in nicely on our right hand side of the defence.
A big robust centre forward on loan till the end of the season would suit me fine. Then in the summer we could see where we were for next season with Beckford (will he be fully fit again), Garner, May, Hugill and Robinson (out of contract at the end of this season so quite possibly may become our player). Right now apart from a centre forward a left-sided midfielder but with more aggression than Reach might be useful - with both Gallagher and Johnson in the centre we are arguably a bit lightweight across the middle of the field. I still think Browne could turn into a useful right-sided wing-back. Otherwise while another central defender would give us a bit more strength-in-depth that is only the case for when we play with a back four since only Clarke, Wright and Huntington are really suitable then. For a back five Woods and Cunningham have also shown themselves to be more than adequate. We still don't know where this lad Grimshaw will fit in.
A left sided midfielder ?
We have Reach, Robinson and Gallagher who can play there, yet no natural right sided midfielder. That's what we need imo.
