There's no doubt about it that was a very good transfer window, surprising also. Good luck to Alex and the team, especially the new signings for the rest of the season.

Wasn't it nice just to be sat there not having to refresh the news pages every 5 minutes and getting wound up because we hadn't signed anybody yet!! 😆 Decent window imo

A new keeper - we all wanted
A new RB - we all wanted
A new striker - we all wanted
Potts - looks a good buy and gives more options wide to allow Barkhuizen a break and with an eye on next season
Ginnelly - young player, again with an eye on next season

Burke out and getting games.

Keeping our 'big boys'.

New contract for Earl and Gallagher.

I think it's hard to not rate this window as a 10/10.

I think it was a decent window, but i wouldn't be going 10/10 overboard yet. 3 of those players we have yet to see in action, and who knows if they will be good enough for the Championship. They are unproven at this level so its a matter of waiting to see i reckon.

As a follow up though, i'd much sooner be dealing the way we have, than spending 4 million on Will Grigg which Sunderland appeared to have done!!

Fair point, i changed the rating about 3 times 🙂

However we've at least strengthened in the positions we needed and the signs from Stockley and Potts look promising, if the other 3 can do similar then we'll all be very happy.

Jesus Christ he's not worth that. League 1 Striker who struggles in the Champ. Oh yes, he did knock City out of the Cup though so that might be worth 3.5 million alone.

It looks like one of those signings that a Championship club makes to get you up into the Prem knowing that a big outlay will be insignificant when you get the riches of the Prem. But this is in league 1!! It's not like Sunderland will suddenly be rolling in cash if they get promoted. Charlie Wyke clearly hasn't work for them.

Bit like Macken to City.

They are clearly going all out for Promotion but for a skint club, where has 4 million come from.

It would have been better if Callum Robinson extended his contract. I am resigned to him leaving in the summer now. Just hope Neil is given the chance to replace him.

Sunderland will only pay £4m for Grigg if they reach the Prem again, supposedly. The base fee was reportedly more like £1.5-2m.

They were always going to have to overpay a bit for a proven goalscorer as they lost Josh Maja.

With the quality they’ve got, including McGeady, they should really be coming back up at the first attempt.

Lewis Morgan should do well at that level.

Was a target of ours before Celtic got him, wasn't he?
